  1. F.Y.I., the movie will be on VH1 this weekend - Sat. night @ 8 and Sun. @ 1. Or on the dvd player, whenever!
  2. Yeah, in the marshland? Looked like the horse was going down for the count, for a moment or two!
  3. Is the sound soundboard or just from the cameras that captured the event? I have this show on cd and like it a lot, even though the quality is not great. Hope this sees the light of day sometime!
  4. Ditto! That would be amazing! It seems, that maybe 6/23/77 would be a possibility due to the snippet of the Page solo that is out. I would rather hear something from the early days over another '77 show.
  5. If they don't include it, we all still have our bootlegs - or access to download one - don't we? Plus, an official release with stuff on it that isn't on the copies available currently! It's all good everyone!!!
  6. Just saw on nascar.com that Trevor Bayne wrecked his car on the 1st lap of practice at Phoenix. Welcome back to reality Trevor! Too bad for the 21 as I know they don't have that many cars at their disposal. Anyway, based on last year's performance, I will have to pick Denny Hamlin this weekend. He had a great car there last year, just not good fuel mileage. Edwards will be tough also. Have a good weekend!
  7. Just wanted to let you know that JBT have some July dates for the UK listed on their website. JohnButlerTrio.com

Hope you are able to catch them this summer!

    peace.

  8. Boy, I never saw that finish coming! I am very happy for Trevor and the 21 team - great to see a good group of people come out on top! I'm with you Dano, it looked like the 70's all over again with that 21 car in victory lane. I was very depressed on lap 23 when my boys' engine blew up, I mean WTF? What about ESPN's coverage makes you not understand what's going on - Hotplant? I see the F1 race in the middle east was being postponed due to the unrest over there.
  9. Michael Lee was in Robert's band and, as SAJ said earlier, Jimmy was basically asked to join Robert's band for the Unplugged show - which became the Page/Plant project. So, that is why Lee and Charlie Jones were in the band and not other musicians. Peace.
  10. I disagree on the Hamlin situation. I don't think he had to go below to pass. He had a car width between him and Newman and then he went down (as did Newman). Whatever - they should let them go anywhere there is pavement after the last turn on the last lap at Daytona and 'Dega. Trevor Bayne has been coming on for a while now, driving in the Nationwide Series for MWR - I like him a lot. But, since the Wood Brothers still have a decrepit pit crew, I don't see a very good finish for him in the 500. Dale Jr. is definitely someone to watch for, but he seems to get lost in the shuffle as the race goes on. He has the best equipment, so who knows? I forgot to mention Gordon as an early season favorite for the title. He and his new crew chief - Alan Guftason (sp.?) will be a good pairing, I believe, this season. Looks like the wife and I are going to the trucks on Friday, to the Nationwide with the kids on Sat. and she is going to the twins on Thurs. (while I'm at work! ). We'll leave the 500 to the 200,000 people up there - it is too big to enjoy anymore. Better to watch that one on the big screen, especially with Direct TV Hot Pass! Looks like fantastic weather the rest of the week here. Anyway, good talking to you - gotta get back to work.
  11. Yes, Mr. Danelectro59 - you rang? The repaved Daytona is amazing! We went up there for a tour back in December and you could still smell the asphalt, it was that new - and soooo smooth! Anyway, looks like they have already made the plate smaller for the rest of Speedweeks. For the 500, I am going to go with Tony Stewart to break through and get his first. For the season, obviously JJ is the pick, but outside of him I am going with somewhat of a dark-horse - Carl Edwards. The Fords seem to have their act together and it is going to take winning a number of races to knock off Johnson and Edwards has shown he is capable of winning a number of races at those final 10 tracks. Will talk more later.....what about that F1 racer who got hurt at the test last week? Sounds like he'll be out at least 3 months.
  12. Hendrix is at the top of my list. Others that I would include: Iommi and Cobain.
  13. ^ That is an AWESOME picture! Where was it taken? I LOVE all those Zep pictures lining the hallway!!! SAJ, your archives are AMAZING!!!
  14. I was wondering how you were doing Coda.S. Hope everything is good with you and hope this all works out for the best for your country as well. Peace.
  15. Saw this set at a record convention back in the 80's. Never bought it because it seemed to be a collection of partial shows and I was young and looking for complete ones. Oh well.... Thanks for sharing those pictures - amazing photos!!!

    Joan Bonham

My condolences to the Bonham family. From the different videos that have been posted here in the past, you could see how vibrant she was. Glad that she will now be able to see her son again. RIP.
  17. I completely agree with your assessment of TYG. I do enjoy the "Plantations" before the song and also leading up to the acoustic set as well. From TYG through Kashmir, I think the show is not bad at all (with the usual exception of WS/BMS). I really enjoy the mix on Kashmir and Robert's wail - which is a major determining factor of how well I rate Kashmir - are both very good. I may have to dust that one off and give it a listen over the weekend. I always enjoy your takes on the '77 tour. Peace.
  18. You guys are in for a great show!! Saw him/them back in July and it was a terrific show. Robert sounds great singing the new tunes and the re-worked Zep songs, along with previous solo material. Great to see him playing such intimate venues as well. Enjoy! Peace.
  19. Nice! Lucky lady!! My first concert was nothing too spectacular, like I have been reading. It was Foreigner/Bryan Adams on the Foreigner "4" tour @ the Carrier Dome in Syracuse, NY (April '81). Bryan Adams hadn't been out very long and was booed off the stage. Foreigner was good and I wore my shirt proudly to school the next day. Back to the GREAT 1st concerts....
  20. Exactly my thoughts as well. The only glaring omission, IMO, is something off In Through The Outdoor - like "In The Evening".
  21. That's pretty crazy! That guy could've done anything to Eddie - I hope some heads rolled in the security staff after that show.
  22. I agree with you there! By their "best" I did mean your (or anyone else's) favorite disc. Diver Down is probably my 2nd favorite - 1984 is my least, with DLR.
