  1. I like to think of the different periods this way: The Beginning Years - 1968-1969 (Getting to know each other as a band and individuals) The Creative Years - 1970 - 1974 (When they would create so much on stage or on trips) The Rock Star Years - 1975 - 1977 (The ultimate rock gods at the height of the industry) The Rebirth - 1978 - 1979, or until Sept. 24, 1980. (Changed their look, sound and direction) Just the way I have looked at their different stages.
  2. I've seen them many times, however last year they (Scott, I mean) did not show up for the concert and they cancelled AFTER the opening bands had played. Hope you have better luck there! U2 tomorrow night!!!! Counting down the minutes!
  3. VERY COOL!! Thanks Deborah for the info and glad you enjoyed the show Jahfin. Can't wait for Friday!
  4. Hey Wolfman, what time did U2 hit the stage? We are going Friday night in Tampa and don't want to miss a second of the show. Thanks.
  5. Seems like their music gets more and more predictable and generic, unfortunately. I used to really like this band. Not a bad song, just not very interesting at all. On with TCV, Grohl!!
  6. I only have a copy of Fatally Wanderer. Sound is pretty good, it is a matrix, especially with the acoustic songs. My favorite versions of Going To California, Celebration Day, Whole Lotta Love and Communication Breakdown are from this show.
  7. I used to get ZOSO also, I still have my cassette tapes of shows that I purchased from him. That yellow envelope always made my day. Stupidly I threw out all of my Zep mags after getting married, to save space while moving
  8. Just listening to 9/29/71 Osaka show last night to celebrate it's anniversary. What a great show and vibe, love to hear them talk/argue in between the songs. Great night!!
  9. R.I.P. John Henry Bonham Music has never been the same since you left the Earth! My thoughts are with your family and friends who miss you dearly.
  10. Great review Wolfman! I am seeing them two weeks from tonight - so looking forward to my 4th U2 concert. Here's one for ya Wolfman!
  11. Steve, I know someone who recorded themself singing and playing the guitar part and then played it backwards and it said the same thing as the record does. Just the way those words sound, when played backwards - as you said. Look at the time frame and when the PMRC reared up, they were just trying to sensor music.
  12. It was a bit "Desperate Housewifey", but there were some humerous parts to it. It'll be interesting to see if will have the legs to last the whole season, no pun intended!
  13. Agreed with the other two - nice to see you back! Thanks for the link, I just may to check them out in Orlando on the 15th.
  14. Not that it matters, but it was acutally Gillette Stadium (they don't play Giants Stadium until tomorrow night). Anyway, hope you enjoy seeing them for the first time, I'll be catching a them a couple of shows later in Tampa. The set list has been varying most nights and covers a pretty good spectrum of their career. They switched the opening number for the first time on this tour - from "Breathe" to "Magnificent" at that show in Foxboro. Should be an incredible experience/show!!
  15. Who is in his band this go around?
  16. That's a nice pair! Oh yeah, and it'll be great to see U2 on SNL as well! Thanks for the update.
  17. THE Ballad Of John and Yoko - The Beatles
  18. A quick question about this show. Does Jimmy break a string and then changes guitars after The Song Remains The Same? Obviously he is missing at the beginning of Sick Again and I figured that was the reason. Same as two nights later, I suppose. Thanks for any info. on this.
  19. I have received word that the discs are now available. As soon as someone has a listen, please review it for us!!
  20. Welcome to the forum. Peace.

  21. Very pretty, indeed! Ithica sweatshirt, huh?! I used live up there and went to Bonaventure - for a little while! Peace.
  22. I thought you had given way too much detail in that post. No I didn't see it coming, but I do miss all of his faithful Bills smack he would run. Boy, he always had something to say as a rebutal.
  23. Imagine that, T.O. calling out someone for ignorance. I believe that falls in the pot and kettle column! That type of behavior does not need to happen anywhere or anytime, however they do need to get a legal paper trail on those two 16 year-olds. That was a pretty bold act and I, for one, would not want to see it happen again (or worse).
