  1. Very nicely done. Thanks for the links everyone!!
  2. I find it to be somewhat sad that they cannot just go forward and make music together, no matter what the coined name would be. Obviously any singer would have HUGE shoes to fill just sitting in with such rock royalty. I just wish they could do something together that THEY want to do, with or without Robert.

    RAISING SAND 2

I guess the opinions that I have read about you are correct....... Peace.

    RAISING SAND 2

First of all, the fact that you have almost 3,000 posts on this site means that you post, on average, 7-8 times a day. If you are on a website posting that many times a day, one would conjecture you are a fan (short for fanatic) of the band. Not trying to get into a pissing match with you, just surprised by your revelation. Here's a hope that Raising Sand 2 (or whatever title is used) is a bit more upbeat than its predecessor.
  5. I personally enjoyed the bow solo from Orlando '71 the best. Love the groove Pagey gets into, which almost doesn't sound like a bow hitting the strings. Amazing work

    RAISING SAND 2

You have almost 3,000 posts, in little over a year, on a band's website that is NOT even your favorite? Interesting.......
  7. Ditto. Been a fan since the mid '70's. Really tough last 10 years or so.........
  8. No, he might be out next season as well. The Pats "dynasty" is already tarnished with the taping that went on. Plus they are also getting older, especially on defense.
  9. Got a copy of this show, finally in soundboard version, and lovin' it!! What is Bonzo yelling about after "Sick Again"? I assume it is him, but I can't make out what he is saying...... Peace.
  10. Happy Birthday Jimmy. I hope this year is one of your best ever!!
  11. My copy is on the way and I hope it gets to me before Christmas!! I listed this show as one of the most underappreciated in that thread and cannot believe that a soundboard version has FINALLY surfaced. Love the vibe that Percy and the boys had going that night - last night in NY or LA were always soem of the best for the vibe. Happy holidays everyone!
  12. From a co-worker, I just received the book Led Zeppelin: Dazed and Confused. It tells the story behind every song they wrote. Too cool!!
  13. Do you really think Conspiracy Theory is awesome? Sound quality is pretty good, but the performance is a bit sloppy - in my opinion. I agree with your assessment of Earl's Court, add to it that they were marathon shows as well. The vibe that came from them was the essence of Zeppelin - tight but loose. The mystique, musicianship and, of course, comradery was what separated them from every other band in history.
  14. Let's Spend The Night Together - The Stones
  15. Too Young Too Fall In Love - Motley Crue
  16. Very cool. My version does not have that "bonus track" on it. Thank you for the correction!
  17. I do not believe The Rain Song is on the Page/Plant No Quater disc. As said earlier, great version on the SRTS soundtrack though.
  18. Obviously there are many great stamps Jonesy put into the music. No Quarter live definately was a high point of any concert where it was performed. On record my favorite is during Dazed when Jimmy is playing the bow part and Jonesy is just playing his line. Before the end of it, he begins to change it up before joining Page on the last note before the lift off into the solo/jam part. Subtle, but genius - just like most everything else JPJ has ever done with Zep. I am really looking forward to hearing how he and Jimmy sound today in the studio with each other!!
  19. Agreed. But the thread was asking what songs were tuned down for the performance, so they were just answering the question posed. I found it to be funny when Page jumped up the notes during Nobody's Fault But Mine and Robert immediately pointed his finger down as to say, get that back into the tune I am singing. I think Robert is amazing no matter if I am listening to a show from 69, 77 or current. Plus his stage presence is second to none in the realm of front men.
  20. Obviously, like others, I could name a crap load of great ones that they have written. I absolutely LOVE the heavy riff at the beginning of The Rover. When he hits that power chord, it goes right down my spine! Purely, powerful, Zeppelin/Page!!
  21. Not that it really matters, Steve, but it was 95 WYNF in Tampa. Love the thread and collaboration!!
  22. Yeah, I just wanted to find out about the set list being played at the 02 show and never thought it would be such a great meeting place to find out every detail about the world's greatest band ever. Many thanks to all!! Eye Thank Ewe!
  23. The MOUNTAIN Song - Jane's Addiction
