  1. The media is having a real time with Ms. Blackman's death as they refuse to name her character in Goldfinger. They do quote the Sean Connery line but leave out the Pussy Galore part, they simply say, "When Bond wakes up in Goldfinger and sees Honor Blackman he says, "I must be dreaming."' Kinda looses the point when they leave out Blackman first introducing herself to Bond as Pussy Galore.
  2. This is a ridiculous comment as many threads, much less posts on this forum, are based on conjecture, yet you don't seem to have a problem with those.
  3. They would have likely broken up by summer of 81' if either Jimmy or Bonzo had not succumbed to their addictions. Plant was ready to leave and if Plant left, Bonzo would likely have followed. The hard edged album Jimmy was talking about never would have happened, ITTOD was going to be Zep's last studio album no matter what. The question which puzzles me is why they did not release a live album of a post-73' show to fulfill their contractual obligation to Atlantic instead of the outtakes Coda represented.
  4. If people want to do that, fine, they have websites for that all over the net, no need to fuck over the locals. That's what I don't understand. When al this started and my wife told me she could not find this or that I asked her to make me a list. The general merchandise stuff (TP, paper towels, etc.) I ordered from HD Supply and was at my door in 24 hours. Groceries I got from a survivalist site and I only got the necessities just in case, nothing more.
  5. Yep, and there is no way a girl that age, in that time would have acted as she did. They likely would have just taken her to a brothel and put her to work the first time she opened her mouth and pissed everyone off. Women / girls had only two options in the Old West, wife or whore. That's why most whores in the Old West were widows and / or runaways.
  6. Oh please Jimmy, you could not afford a $345 (actual price of a Flying V in 1968) guitar but could afford that house in Pangbourne? Yep, led wallet alright. I am sure Joe Walsh's backside is still hurting from Jimmy bartering his bum into the ground for the legendary #1 LP which he paid $500 for just six months later.
  7. These church people are just the dumbest out there. Now though I am agnostic for the most part I do believe in a god or primus moblius of some sort and understand people turning to faith in this time of need. However, you do not need to surround yourself with 3k people, laying hands on each other in a confined space for two hours to express that and find comfort in your faith. If there is a god, it would want you to use common sense and keep your distance. Remember, churches do not have a magic antenna directly to god, you can do that all by yourself in your own home. That aside the real serious holy rollers (of all beliefs) are really something else thinking they can pray the disease away inside a church with thousands. All they are doing is turning themselves into a giant test cohort for virus vector.
  8. Anything by King Diamond as he sounds like his nob was just slammed shut in a door while someone shoved a bottle up his arse.
  9. I prefer ethnic looking ladies in general (anything BUT white) however, to be honest, I find any woman who finds me attractive, attractive by default. Wooden leg, false teeth, no hair, gout, goiter, if she is into me...WOO HOO!!!
  10. As much as I love Jeff Bridges he screwed up the remake. Came across as a caricature and a bad one at that. Plus the girl actress was just way, way too much.
  11. He started using the Tele live in 77' on. In 77' he used it exclusively for TYG and in 79'-80' he used it for Hot Dog & AML as well. He also used the Strat at two of the EC shows (the 18th & 23rd) for NQ & OTHAFA. I commented that the NQ at both of these shows were two of the best ever done and Jimmy in particular was incredible. I prefer the Strat on both NQ & OTHAFA vs. the LP but to do NQ really right they would have needed an extra guitarist playing the LP for the riff and rhythm and Jimmy on the Strat to support the riff and for the solo work. Yeah, the Flying V thing I found out about only a few years back, kinda blew my mind.
  12. Jimmy sometimes used several different guitars on a single tune, the guitar army. So he used the Tele on every album, used the Strat extensively from HOTH on, and the LP of course. Achiiles is a great example of that as he uses his LP, Tele, and I believe a Strat as well for some of the rhythm work. TYG he uses all kinds of guitars, 2 different Teles, LP, Strat, Martin D26, oh my. Bonus Round: Jimmy used a Flying V to record You Shook Me, the only time he used that guitar. I don't know why he did not use the Flying V after that as his tone and presence on YSM is incredible.
  13. Nothing like some good ol Mobile Dick. Short and sweet and builds excitement nicely. Oh Myyyyyy.
  14. I was spending quite a bit of time in Seattle in 91' & 92' and was lucky to catch all three at local bars before they got huge. Even saw Alice in Chains in some bar around this time and was blown away. All of these bands were just crazy good live in the early days but Alice & Pearl Jam were my favorites. HHWCID is a really strong track and quite commercial so I agree with the posts that it was exactly the Zep thing to do to close with HOTRH instead. I like both tunes but hearing the intro right after such a pastoral tune like TTW was like a punch in the nuts, completely unexpected. HOTRH is the blues on acid after smoking some meth with Pookie while running from the man.
  15. Looks like Marcia's magic worked. Hubba Hubba.
  16. Oh well, the answer is always no unless you ask. Guess old Robert was too busy for a quick garden?
  17. I never liked the interior of Boleskine House because it looked like a goddamned Haggis crazed Scotsman exploded in the damn place. Horrible furnishings.
  18. Bingo, Robert is not off-pitch, its the double tracked vocals where the background track is slightly off-time which causes this dissonance at that one part. I like it, it adds personality.
