  1. Me too, but history usually repeats itself... R
  2. I think history will repeat itself and some idiot will try to kill Obama (look at Kennedy, Kennedy's brother, Bobby, MLK, Malcolm X and a few others like Lincoln's assassination and the attempt on Reagan). If Hillary, is the VP, then she'll be come Prez. If that happens, look out. There's still time for Bush declare Martial Law and stay in power (before the election in November), so be forewarned. R
  3. Looking forward to seeing Robert/Alison & T-Bone and Band in Atlanta (july 10th). Also, looking forward to seeing Foreigner (hopefully with Jason on drums) along with Bryan Adams in Atlanta (july 20th)... We'll see what the future holds for any Zeppelin one-offs (when and where remain to be seen...) I can see more Plant/Krauss work to come (not sure about another tour with them after this one, though... we'll see). Plant goes in so many directions (which is cool). What I wonder about is how Alison will feel after a year or so touring with Robert. Will she need some time to herself and her own solo stuff again with the Union Station or is she ready to keep this train rolling, too... (if not, it could open some more opportunities for Plant)... R
  4. TSRTS Good Times, Bad Times Celebration Day The Rover/Sick Again/Wanton Song (part of included) --- medley In My Time of Dying For Your Life Dancing Days The Ocean Trampled Underfoot (including parts of Custard Pie) Misty Mountain Hop No Quarter Dazed and Confused BIGLY Ten Years Gone SIBLY I'm Gonna Crawl The Rain Song Wearing and Tearing Achilles Last Stand Kashmir Encores: In The Evening Rock N Roll Black Dog Heartbreaker That's The Way (part of) / Thank You R
  5. From what I read, "Swan Song" was the original instrumental/early version of "TSRTS". Page liked the name, wanted to use it for a song name and then it later became their label name (as we all know). R
  6. Jimmy's just taller than Eddie and the Mars Volta guitarist. The back cover has Santana, John Mayer, Buddy Guy and Hammet on it. I think they just wanted to balance out the eras (ages) of music. Buddy and BB (earliest of group to current) --- both are seated Jimmy and Carlos (60's to current) --- both behind seated persons in middle Eddie and Kirk (late 70s/80's to current) --- both on left side Mars Volta guy and John Mayer (newest) --- both on right side R
  7. I'd like to hear the completed version you did, too. R
  8. I'm sure authorities will get to the "bottom" of it, one assumes. Clayton County is notorious for some wild stuff. I keep my distance from there. You think the kids are wild, you oughta see their parents. R
  9. As mentioned in previous threads, TUF was taken from/inspired from Robert Johnson's, "Terraplane Blues" (written in 1936; well before Stevie Wonder's, "Superstition"). Robert even mentioned it recently at the O2 concert before starting the song. I'm sure there was some inspiration from James Brown (as previously noted) as well as from Stevie, but they didn't rip him off. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Trampled_Under_Foot R
  10. I agree with you on this one, completely. R
  11. Thanks, Dave. I'll have to get a copy. Much appreciated. R
  12. Yep. i wish they would have included the entire set for the PBS Soundstage show, too. I saw them in Atlanta that summer and it was an incredible show. "That's The Way" was the best song of the night of the Chicago/PBS Soundstage taping and it was left off. They performed for over 2 hours and it was the bass player's birthday that night, so they did a few extra special numbers not performed before on the tour. R
  13. Give them some time.... Everything runs in circles. All lead singers of popular bands go away for a while and return back a few years later to reunite. Some take 2,3,5 years (some take more time). It happens because they get tired of each other, playing the same songs for years, personalities, etc... and need to be recharged by something else (whether it's other styles of music, time away/apart to rest, art/painting, etc...) Let Plant do his thing. The other guys (Page, JPJ and Bonham) are doing their thing recording and their own projects right now. We'll see what/when they reconvene in their time. Perhaps, this time with Plant away on tour with Alison is motivating the others to write/record new styles music that will be "fresh" and inspire him (Plant) to take a listen and/or do some more "one-offs" at some later time. Maybe they are all working on new music (3Js recording tracks and Plant writing new lyrics) in separate locations. One never knows... R
  14. Thanks, NickZepp and Fresh Garbage, Yes. You are both correct. Gene Vincent originally did the song and Elvis covered it. I believe Zep did do the song. It just seemed like something Robert would sing. It'd be cool for them to do it again (in it's entiretly, though). R
  15. Be Bop A Lula --- Elvis Suspicious Minds --- Elvis Children of the Sun --- Billy Thorpe These also come to mind (that would be cool to see them do) R
  16. Page and Plant recorded one song "My Bucket's Got A Hole In It" for the Sun Sessions project (2001) a few years ago, too. There's a dvd out with them on it in the studio and interview, called "Good Rockin' Tonight" http://www.amazon.com/Good-Rockin-Tonight-...s/dp/B00006IUIQ Also, Page did session work "Come With Me" (Kashmir) for Puff Daddy/ Diddy in 1998. R
  17. Rumor of the day: They are taking the Mothership out and playing on the moon. Satellite feed via internet for the entire world (one more show and that's all)... R
  18. I met Jimmy and Robert briefly in May of 1998 (Clarksdale Tour in Charleston, SC). A friend was a local dj and did a radio interview with them. I got to go to soundcheck prior to the show. I met JPJ in Atlanta in March, 2000 (Zooma tour). He talked with a few of us after the show for a good bit. I met Jason and his band (Tony Catania, John Smithson and Chas West) as a friend's band, Evergreen, opened for them (in May of 1997) in Columbia, SC (Rockafella's). We hung out and talked for a few hours after the show. I've never met JB (RIP). R
  19. Maybe It's the Eagles that are playing Toronto for 4 nights... They fly, too. and they have an L and an E in their name... or maybe it is Lez Zeppelin... R
  20. Good one, Styrbjorn. She and Mutt have called it a day. http://breakingnews.iol.ie/entertainment/s...amp;p=z559857y6 He'll probably go back to producing again. I was surprised that he hasn't worked with Def Leppard for a while. It'll be interesting to see if Page, JPJ and Jason will do an album without Robert. They could call it the music of Led Zeppelin. R
  21. Yes. It is. Tracklisting is on the link provided. http://www.cduniverse.com/productinfo.asp?...rm=frooglemusic R
  22. Yes. Mick Taylor (I was writing quickly). Thankz. Mick Jones is the guitarist for Foreigner and there's another Mick Jones (from The Clash who founded Big Audio Dynamite). R
