  1. ,,, don't forget custom built counters and accent light fixtures in the shape of a Zeppelin ballon (with the four symbols' shadows shining down (out) on the tiles of the floor. R
  2. Thanks for posting your photos and sharing. I met Jason in April of 1997 in Columbia, SC. He was drumming with his band (JBB). I talked with him, Tony (his guitarist) and John Smithson (bass/keys) a good bit after their show. A friend's band opened for them that night (at Rockafella's, a great local venue, which is now another place). Jason talked about his tatoo on his arm (three circles and told us what his dad said about the meaning of it). Jason, as expected, was a great guy. We talked for about 30 or 40 minutes afterwards, John Smithson and Tony were both really cool to us as well. John and I even had some mutual friends in S. Africa (small world). R
  3. ..."1980-Frankfort 6-30, Zurich 6-29, Brussells 6-20, Dortmond 6-17, there's really only about 2 bad shows out of the 15 or so boots not counting the one where Bonzo was ill. That show was too short to judge. " Was that when Bonzo ate like 15 bananas before playing and they had to wrap him up in a blanket to take him off of the stage? Plant made a comment to the audience and they were off after like 4 or 5 songs... R
  4. It's on again like every other day either in the afternoon or in the evening here in the US. It airs tonight @ 8pm EST (Thursday, 2/14) and this Sunday morning at 10am EST (2/17). Check CMT's website for their schedule. R
  5. So, is Plant the Walrus or is he the Eggman??? Is that Peter Grant (the blue meanie with the money bags)??? Cool covers. Yep. It would be cool to see some Beatle boot covers imitating Zep album covers. R
  6. Looks like it is a lager (available all over). http://www.thebackpacker.net/worldbeers/te..._worldbeers.htm I found it listed online (as I don't drink either). R
  7. The media sucks. They spend way too much time on Britney, Anna Nicole (before that), Lindsay Lohan, Paris Hilton (a bunch of no-talent losers) and never about the important issues (like Montell attempted to do before losing his job) or more talented artists like Led Zeppelin (Plant and Krauss got little or no mention at the 50th Grammys this year). JPJ conducted the Foo Fighters and they didn't interview him or anything. One quick glance and they showed the back of his head or something. I hope Montell gets a better job and writes a book about the media and shares what really happened. R
  8. Yeah, The Rain Song is one of my favorites. It's a timeless piece of music. The dynamics in the song still amaze me, each time I listen to it (especially on headphones). Maybe, they recorded their rehearsals for O2 concert and have that one on there for us in the bonus section (for the dvd)??? R
  9. Give it some time, I'm sure if the Biography/History Channel people produced it for TV, it's just a matter of time before it's available on DVD (NTSC, PAL and Secam Formats)... It is Led Zeppelin, the best rock 'n' roll band in the world, ever, after all, right??? R
  10. The Classic Rock DVD Series is a group of British behind the scenes going through each of their albums and includes some interviews (with very little concert footage). There's a Zeppelin one, a Beatles one, Pink Floyd, etc...) They can be found in most indy record stores and online, too. Led Zep 4 is one of them. Eagle rock Entertainment has a classic rock series too (Pink floyd --- dark side, Queen -- night at the opera, etc... most are available at Wal-Mart for around $10. R
  11. Maybe a big Jason Bonham drum solo (like his dad did back in the day) would have been cool, too... I'm glad they played only 16 songs (it leaves us wanting more).... Hopefully, they'll tour. We'll just have to wait and see. R
  12. yep. The 24th and 25th. It'd be cool to see an official release with a complete boxed set of the Earls Court shows with artwork, extras (dvd audio and all). R
  13. anything and everything would be fine for me (just as long as they play)... Hopefully, they'd play "Your Time Is Gonna Come". R
  14. KISS videotaped a PSA for Muscular Distrophy for the Jerry Lewis Telethon (it's on KISSology volume 2 dvd) and they also ran the video for "Sure Know Something" (from their Disco album, Dynasty). It ran on labor day in 1979. I really doubt Zeppelin were on any of the Jerry Lewis Telethons live (if they were, it would have been something taped; if anything, maybe an interview), but I don't remember anything. R
  15. There's an NTSC format DVD of the Classic Rock Series (Led Zeppelin, Pink Floyd, Beatles, Queen, etc..) check your local record stores and online (they have a website I believe; google it). R
  16. I don't think they ever did. Burt Sugarman would have released them on the series of DVDs if they did (and I don't recall them ever performing on that program). R:)
  17. Thanks... (I think) let's hope Plant shows up... It wouldn't be a Led Zeppelin reunion without him. You don't think Plant would do a tour (IYHO)??? I wouldn't want to see them get sued by Ruffles Potato chip company (hey, maybe they could sponsor it if Cover-version, I mean Coverdale did sing)... R
  18. ... here's my take/guess if they tour in '08 and '09: (not sure of it's shape; as I have not connected the dots yet...) Led Zeppelin gather for a press conference and announce in mid summer in the city (Gladsaxe) that started it all stating that the tour will begin on September 7 in Denmark (exactly 40 years after their first gig). From there it will continue in Denmark, Finland, Sweden and Iceland. After that, they will advance to play more of Europe (Belgium, Germany, France, UK, etc...) , Asia and then the Far East (October- through mid-November). They will take a two week break and reconvene in England for a week to ten days of rehearsals before flying over to the US for final preparations (more rehearsals with Robert --- since he's been resting his voice after the first leg). Finally, in early or mid-December '08 - March of 2009, Led Zeppelin will soar through their 2nd Leg of their Reunion World Tour in the United States, Canada and Mexico. Ultimately, Led Zeppelin will continue the 2nd leg of their reunion tour of '09 into South America, Australia, New Zealand and many other first time locations (early April through mid May '09). In late June/early July of 2009, Led Zeppelin will reunite in the studio to record a new album and tour the world once again in late 09 and well into 2010. Jimmy Page has many demos already recorded (Ocean Way Studios in California and other locations) to present to the group. They finish recording, Mixing and Mastering the album in Septemer/October of 2009. The record is released in December of '09 with a World Tour announced shortly after the release for 2010. This will be their final tour (2010). The album is called, "Contact" (like the movie, " 2010: The Year We Make Contact". Note: Both 2010 and Led Zeppelin are released by Warner Brothers). However, one off appearances as LZ will continue at their leisure for many years to come. R
  19. Maybe they're saving it for a tour (who knows)??? Let's wait and see. It is a great song (but when you have so many great songs, it's hard to choose). R
  20. I agree. Why not just another concert DVD (say the O2 concert) and we'll all be happy. I don't know about a dream sequence or anything. R
  21. How about Jason Bonham as his dad??? (only he could play the part and do it justice) Robert's son (the singer) could play him I'll have to think about the other two (JPJ and Pagey). R
  22. Hanna Montana, no wait, how about the Jonas Brothers??? LOL!!! Seriously, the Crowes would be cool or Eric Johnson would be even better. www.ericjohnson.com ... but I'd be happy with no opener, too! R
  23. I don't think Verizon either when I hear Led Zeppelin, but if that is what it takes (as a means) to get newer listeners (reaching the next/ younger generation) to hear Led Zeppelin and Page & company profit from it, then more power to them. It's just advertising to me. I tune it out unless it is something I want to hear. R
  24. Looks like Page is "Gearing" up for a Reunion tour to me. Endorsing new products and all. You just know he can't wait to get back on stage. We can't either. R
  25. I agree with you. I believe Plant and Krauss US tour will extend after their European dates. Probably June and July in the US (Atlanta (Chastain Ampitheatre) and other dates will be added probably within the next month or so). Keeping my fingers crossed for the Real Deal (Zep reunion Tour in September or afterwards). R www.myspace.com/reidstevens
