  1. ...yes, the flight is off schedule...
  2. Well said, he is indeed a gifted musician....Pndt. Ravi Shankar was also part of the film industry as a composer...here is another video of his "colleagues - Music composers" back in the day from the film industry. The group of composers of 60's including R. Shankar are irreplaceable...as Pete Townsend says..."we are sorry, we can not reconstruct that for you"...hope you will enjoy this video...the Symphony Orchestra can also be heard with Sitar in this video, much explored by our very own Zep... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=W8F0yU7EjaQ
  3. Thank you Theycallmethehunter!!!....I love JP with beard pic's agreed 100%...the beard brings out his shiny eyes, the sweet lips/smile, and that perfect nose.....I could go on and on......... just one for the going....so "aristocratic"......
  4. I have seen that photo, he is deeply sadden by this very tragic event....by reading this thread, I am feeling bit uncomfortable, I quite don't know why. I wish him good and happy health as one could imagine!!!
  5. Beautiful Pic's AEN27...just in time for Valentine... (this is the picture '77 did it for me) "Love is that fire, no ignited, nor contained..." wishing lots of Love to our Beloved James Patrick Page and his ladies.......
  6. .....This is the picture that speaks volumes of love...a great love immortalized in Led Zeppelin's music which continues to touch souls of so many generations..... Robert, thanks for sharing something so divine and personal with the world, your fans remain eternally grateful for this gift of music decorated with your love.........
  7. ....Steve, thank you for leading me to the mysteries thread and Saville Row, perhaps my own further readings will also shed some light as to where our Stylish Lord obtained his exquisite wardrobe in addition to the above sources..... Your knowledge and willingness much appreciated.
  8. ..tks for excitement...Coles previously did have UNCUT..but DIFFERENT cover for the longest time...I must go to Chapters...just a matter of convenience...but you know, I Have to now...
  9. ...I am so looking forward to buying this....I hope it is available in Canada in Chapters, or Coles....I am still wanting to buy the Uncut Jimmy Page Issue, which is NOT avilable in Coles so far.... I haven't tried Chapters yet...
  10. ...Steve, Thank you!!! this is very informative about his designer's name. I am curious as to where he shopped for his off stage wardrobe in 60's/70's, The famous scarves, the green crushed velvet suit, (Catherine James mentions this a lot when she met him) and those hot pink shiny satin pants...I assume someone close to his heart sure is lucky in owning these priceless items... Bebe Buelle writes that she and Jimmy went shopping, where?...He purchsed expensive shirts... and I also wonder if Jimmy shopped exclusively... thank you for any info...
  11. ..."Thievery"....I call it inspiration...Musicians have to have an environment to share/create their work...I am sure Robert and other musicians in similar positions realize this....
  12. ......you are absolutely right....and that is what makes Robert Plant so versatile...Robert recently said in Rolling Stones about Elvis...I knew "he wanted to express more"....that is a very deeply profound statement, not only to create more as in quantity, but also in "quality"....I am so happy for him tonight at the awards.
  13. ...I love Jimmy's attire in this picture..the white pants and that dangling necklace (I have seen a clear picture of the said necklace before... and Robert's Jeans, what can be said about them )
  14. ...Chicago, Santana is one of the artist I would love to see perform...I agree with you about Jimmy Page. I would like him to see in the capacity of "music director"...I so wish he was involved with Danny Boyle and Indian Music director A.R. Rehman for Slumdog Millionaire...Danny is a fan of Led Zeppelin...I posted a link to an interview in Oscar Nominations thread in General Forum...he states he always wanted to be in Led Zeppelin...I have many reasons, musicially, speaking, as to why Page's involvement in this project would have been even more interesting...I sure hope I get to seem Jimmy Page on the road performing/ or just recording soon!!!
  15. Jahfin...that is cool, I have seen Pearl Jam Live once...Eddie is much to be admired for the same reasons as Jeff Buckely was...Eddie has tremendous respect for both The Who and Led Zeppelin... It is refreshing to see young musicians who value the work of their seniors....
  16. ....yes, Jeff is greatly missed...as will be the other two masters...Jeff's masterpiece is acknowledge by our very own Legendary Jimmy Page...I am sure his fans continue to explore his work...he is an important musician...someways he reminds me of young Jimmy Page, exploring music, life, people...and yes he remains OH! so beautiful...definitely a classy rock star in the making, gone so quickly!!! ...and that record I have listened to it...Jeff does sing quite well, honestly,... the qawali is a masterpiece "Yeh jo halka halka saroor hai"...Nusrat would often improvise different poetry in between the main verses, I have many different versions of it...The poetry is one of in-depth ever written by Urdu poets, a testimonial to their profound understanding of passion and it's purpose in the universe.. and I have will have to look into Santana...Caravansari...very profound, as it appears to be...
  17. ....yeah!!! "that" scarf...and that pose...
  18. ...perhaps this should be posted in General Forum... in Beautiful Women thread...then they can discuss without reference to the Obvious.....
  19. Carols Santana....I love Santana, Abraxis.....I think this defines Santana... His classic masterpiece Black Magic Woman is on my honorable list. He has such intoxicating charisma stemming from his cultural roots.....Gracias Carlos.
  20. What did they eat? who missed home the most? What other artists/music did they listened to on the plane.....?
  21. Robert Plant - very very diverse and creativity in his voice (I love Fortune Teller his current song) (Rock) Aretha Franklin (Aretha - true to her cultural roots) (Blues) and my upbringing to current times, Indian music Lata/Rafi (mainstream Film music, particularly the classic 60's and 70's, along with Zeppelin in my household, I am becoming very nostalgic..... Qawali - Sabri Brothers/Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan (Soufi/Ishaq (Love) Poetry, ...not "religious") and Music Director Khayam - Arabic/Persian music in Indian films, with likewise poetry.... I have come to known that Robert Plant in '81 has played Khayam's music (one musical piece in particular, Ghazal music from Umrao Jaan (every Indian's fav classic film) '81 at his stage prior to peformance).....pls. confirm otherwise, if anyone knows... and that's it.. I also admire your "Iron Maiden" Energy....I am little too old for that.... Link for Robert Plant's interest in Indian Music Fate of Nations Tour: http://www.oldbuckeye.com/ifmtl2.html The "Fate Of Nations" tour had a bit of an Indian flavour to it with concerts opening with the song "Dil Cheez Kya Hai" by Indian singer Asha Bhosle from the film "Umrao Jaan" being played just before Plant took to the stage. Also, one of the tour t-shirts had an image of the goddess Lakshmi sitting in a lotus flower with Plant posturing beneath it. Plant was also seen wearing a t-shirt with a picture of the arab world's best known singer Om Kalsoum on the front of it during some shows.
  22. glicine, this has been been discussed many times before on this forum... As much as I admire Page, he should have never made this statement (in fact If he did, I don't know for sure). I don't take this statement at it's face value as if that is what HE for sure believed. Incidents of this nature happen to people when they become passionate about a certain way of life or thinking of another being...I will cut him a break...I think he was just young and passionate discovering life in all it's pros and cons...one has to value actions, not words...so far, I find him to be very classy about his relationships...
