joeboy
I've been searching through the recordings and can't find any better. Help me anyone?
Sue Dounim
I'm partial to the version from 1977/06/
Walter
I actually enjoy the 7/17/77 Seattle version the most.
Matjaz1
Yeah joeboy, I agree! It's the best, the whole piece and the jam, but the Knebworth version, there was only one, has a more emotional ending!
Strider
It was stunning to hear all the Forum ones but since we're talking what's the best one to listen to through a recording, as great as the '77 ones are, I think the 7.24.79 Copenhagen just tops them all by a hair. tmtomh
No love for Eddie? June 21, 1977 is fantastic IMHO.
Strider
No love for Eddie? June 21, 1977 is fantastic IMHO. Absolutely. But I think the gap in the recording leaves people to rank it lower than 6.23.77 or 7.24.79.
ledrim
This show (Badgeholders) is probaby my favorite boot. I think it has THE best versions of Sick Again, TYG, possibly NFBM and Achilles. Jimmy should release this show or a compliation from all these LA shows, I know the quality is not up to a multitrack, but they are the best examples of the "Latter Days" of the band. Badgeholder Still
"Ten Years Bonham!" My first and after 25some years still my favorite listening experience. My top TYG, ALS, & STH for sure. If you put aside sound quality, vocal condition/style, estimated drug/alcohol usage and other usual judgements, this show has to leave most others in the shadows as far as the band, especially Plant, wearing their personality and emotions on their sleeve. No doubt the presence of a special guest Looney had something to do with the vibes on this night.
nick2632
LA 6/21/77 is perfect IMO, but Cleveland 4/28/77 is an awesome performance too.
BlyZeppelinaren
I always like 4/8/79, all the LA ones are obviously up there
