Otto Masson
My taste in music is pretty eclectic as those who know me from the old board will know - but anyway, aside from Led Zeppelin I love these artists: Jimi Hendrix The Who The Beatles Rory Gallagher Joni Mitchell Frank Zappa Genesis (Peter Gabriel era) Gentle Giant Anne Briggs The Cure Siouxsie and the Banshees And many, many other artists in popular music. And well, some days I love to listen to Benny Goodman; other days it will be John Coltrane. And sometimes I like to listen to Janacek or Bach's organ pieces, Richard Strauss's tone poems or Beethoven's piano sonatas.
gperkins151
... Beethoven's piano sonatas. Who do you like in the Sonatas? I really like Annie Fischer, Richter, Gulda, Gilels and Backhaus. (Yes people, I am a classical freak.)

songbird
I am gradually turning into a jazz and blues freak. Although Led Zeppelin will always be my fave, I have to say I've drifted away from most other 'classic rock' ... mostly because I hate the radio!! I love rock but I think blues is definitely my true calling. Edited January 6, 2008 by songbird

Tinkerbell
....... and you have even excluded the overated Queen. It is shocking to me to see all the Queen stuff here on this site. I never had them very high on my list. Nothing against them but I would put them next to Styx and Aerosmith and so forth. 100 points high score for you! Your opinion earns my full applause! Anyway - it's written down so much nonsense in here........... it's simply unbelieveable!

Chicken
I was just wondering, what with Zep having such a wide ranging fanbase, what other bands other forumers listen to. The easiest/laziest way to answer. Actually, looking at you'll be able to see that Led Zeppelin have become a bit of a "classic rock" exception in my listening habits. I had a phase a few years ago where I listened to a LOT of "classic rock", but in the past year or so...maybe more, that has, for the most part, moved on. I like that fact though...I don't wanna become stale. Led Zeppelin's always there though...standing tall. Haha.

Jahfin
Looks like you and Jahfin are having a contest on who can make the longest list. When it comes to questions like this I often have a very hard time narrowing it down to just a few artists so I list all that come to mind. Even then I find myself leaving lots of artists off that I would have loved to mention.

Jahfin
I purposely left alot of great bands out, just because I didn't want to hog bandwidth. I'm sure someone will correct me if I'm wrong but I've never thought of plain text hogging bandwidth. Large files such as photos maybe but not text alone. Joelmon
I'm sure someone will correct me if I'm wrong but I've never thought of plain text hogging bandwidth. Large files such as photos maybe but not text alone. Not only that, but I remember the thread trying to get people to downsize pictures posted because of bandwidth strain. And the mods said...when the photos are hosted 'elsewhere'...the bandwidth here isn't strained because of that. It just takes longer to view if your connection speed is slow. And please, feel free to correct me, epecially mods who'd know, if I'm errant on my recollections...
