I would think this would be a big deal to most women. It says a lot about her character. But many Republican women will turn their heads to it, unless they themselves are rape victims. I would think anyone who has been through the process would be offended to learn this. I've said it before, the more we learn about her, the less there is to like.

You think either one of them want to get married.......they're not even out of high school! That young man has a bit of pressure on him doesn't he. I think it was sad that they felt the need to make sure everyone knew they were going to get married as soon as she turns 18. When will people get over the wedlock crap. If we are so Pro-life, we shouldn't make it such a big deal if a young woman has a baby without getting married.

Worth repeating, her character is what i have attacked all along. Her character is extreme, most likely due to her very religious Pentecostal upbringing. Look what it did to Scott Stapp, lol. But seriously, all her views are so self centered and very narrow. She doesn't even look at what might be best for her child. I am sure her daughter wasn't asked her opinion about keeping the baby or the marriage, and would not dare give it (if it differs from mommy).

Actually, McCain's Palin-boost has run out. realclearpolitics.com showed McCain with a very slight lead after the Republican Convention, but his lead has dwindled and gone. The polls are now tied. Surely we'll see that trend continue, and Obama will regain his lead (which he has held almost constantly, by the way. Not to mention McCain has not even attained a lead that reaches Obama's average lead thus far ). And that's not even considering that we have some sure-to-be entertaining debates left in store, which will certainly expose Palin for the rookie she is.

I've gotten into some heated debates with people here in Austin--it's a mix of a lot of different people with strong opinions--but it's great to actually talk about the issues rather than just blindly accepting a candidate based on what "side" they're on. Palin sealed the deal for me... I was willing to give McCain a shot before, but her overwhelming lack of experience and the fact that she would become President should something happen to McCain just doesn't add up for me. Throw in Karl Rove and it's a done deal.

No, if she had some damn common sense we might like her. I have nothing against her personal political views, but when the woman--the one who might very well assume the role of Commander in Chief if her superior kicks the bucket whilst in office--doesn't have enough damn sense to stop and oh, I don't know, give birth to a special-needs BABY inside of her when she's leaking amniotic fluid all over the place but rather decides to make a speech, get on a plane, fly to Seattle, stop over, fly to Alaska, and then drive to a small-town hospital so a woman to whom she gave a fancy award to can deliver her baby... that's pushing it, my friend. Well politics always brings up heated debates and strong opinions. It's more fun to have discussions with people who feel the way you do as opposed to those on the other side. Last election one of my best friends and I (i was surprised to find out she was a Republican back in 2000) had a "debate" over Bush being re-elected. SHE got upset over the conversation and stormed off, lol. We made up a few weeks later, but haven't spoken about Politics since.

It's nice you are open minded and thinking with your mind. Palin is no mystery anymore. Now people will either use their common sense and reject her, or vote as sheep... and McCain, well he is the man not "for Change" but the man "who changes, changes his positions, changes his personality, and changes his principles". What a disgrace.
