Ovation Breadwinner (that's solid body electric, black - new 1977)

G series Takamine electric accoustic (early 2000's) and an old Aria dreadnought

Last thing I bought was...

...a banjo (5 string)

The guitar I finished building earlier this summer. B) I'm really proud of it, as it turned out to both look and sound great.

Seymour Duncan Blackouts, neck-thru body made by Xavier (mahogany/maple/poplar), topped off with an Original Floyd Rose tremolo. It all works together very nicely!

Matt! It came out beautiful!! Is that the one you're gonna put the HipShot on?

I'll be sending it out tomorrow btw. B)

Just asking, cause the one I'm sending you is chrome, not black.

Nevermind, I just spied the EVH d-tuner on the bridge.

Also, you may want to consider removing a couple of those springs from the tremelo. Using all 5 is mighty snug.

Thanks. B) But no, the locking nut would render the hipshot quite ineffective. I can't even get the EVH D-Tuna to work correctly, and I can't figure out exactly why.

The reason I have 5 springs in the trem is because the holes for the screws weren't drilled in far enough, and I didn't have the means to redrill them at the time. Had to get it ready for a show quick! So I stuck 5 springs in there, 'cause that's what it needed for the bridge to level out. Haven't messed with it since, but I really should, I know.

So the guitar isn't set up perfectly yet, but I'm making small advances here and there...

Anyways, this:

is what the Hipshot will be used for! Eventually.

HSH eh? Nice choice! Coil splitting I assume? And if I may add, the middle pickup sound on a Strat is my fave of all! B)

Single bolt neck slot??

Nevermind. Pitch adjustment. Where'd the body come from?

Funny story, that...my friend gave me his old Starcaster, aaaand the body was the only salvagable part! Maybe a couple spare screws and such, but nothing else really. The guy doesn't take very good care of his stuff. Apparently had no idea what he was doing either, since he sanded the paint with the pickguard ON.

I haven't really put any thought into the build yet, I only have a decent idea of the paint job right now. Don't even know if I'll go HSH or single coils all the way! Probably HSH. This is going to be very much a frankensteined guitar...though I'm trading my other strat for an Epi LP, so if I go HSH I'll have no single coil guitars! Figure I can pick one up down the road though...I've never played an HSH before.

I really would like to find a neck, that's the part that's causing me the most grief right now.

Anyways, I'm not sure yet! But I'm always open to wisdom and suggestions. ;)

I have a Danelectro U-2 from I think 1956 or 1957. I got it at a music store near me for $100 used. It's amazing. I also have an Epiphone Les Paul Special II, Epiphone SG Special II, Squier Stratocaster, Ibanez Bass(not sure which model), a 12 String Acoustic from a brand called Teneda(my dad's friend gave it to me so I don't know much about it), another guitar my dad's friend gave with no brand or model on the headstock, a Harmony acoustic, and Babicz Octane.

So other than the Danelectro and the Babicz my guitars kinda suck. lol

Budget, budget, budget.

There's always Warmoth, but expensive:

Conversely, pawn shop junker. Cheap cannibal parts.

Traded my mexi-strat for this sweet piece of craftsmanship a couple days ago. Plays like a charm, it's definitely the nicest Epiphone I've played so far. I like it MUCH more than the strat. It has a nicer neck. Not to mention it's friggin' beautiful! As Borat would say, GREAT SUCCESS!

Yeah, that's a little pricey. But I'll see what I can find - the trick is to not rush and let the good deals come to you. B)

Anyways, I've decided to save up for a nice amp first. I played through a fantastic tube amp a couple days ago, blew everything I usually play through clean out of the water! So a neck can wait. Unless, of course, an offer comes up that I can't refuse. ;)

Ev, Just joined this forum - that's one hell of a collection!!! My avatar is a chambered R8, I've also got a 2004 Standard LP, a gash strat (that looks like Blackie and fitted with texas hot pups), a light blue tele that's from somewhere in the early 70's. Amps - a 1969 AC30(a babe) and a 20w marshall (different to the vox but equally awesome). Effects loads but my fav (and only thing I use nowadys in gigs is a vox wah). Must take a photo of them all. I just started so this is my first guitar, I know its not the cream of the crop but it gets the job done I would like to bet a BC Rich for my second guitar because they look bad a** and they are pretty affordable

GRG170DXBK-25886389aed48a188eae1ec35ae615da.jpg

Its an Ibanez GRG170DX Like I said its not the best but it gets the job done

I have that guitar too I don't like it at all. Only Neck is wood and the sound is like coming trough a wall. I want a black Gibson 335. It looks and sounds good (And Blackmore has it). Another option would be a basic strat. I think that best stratocaster color is red. What do you think?

I have a guitar in this style, not an original Fender. A copy (not Squier)

Have a classic acoustic guitar too, but i don't find any pics and I don't feel to photograph now xD.

I'm saving money to a guitar or a amp. If it will be a guitar it would be a guitar like this

Or this epiphone_les_paul_standard_plus.jpg

EDIT: Couldn't get the other guitar i want to save money too. But it's an Epiphone SG.
