  1. I remember reading somewhere that she took him under her wing during the first American tour. In a 2005 tv interview he talks about her with a lot of respect. They do sound very similar.
  2. You listen to them (or a Zeppelin-related song) 24/7 for the last 7 months. And when you listen to another song by another band it just doesn't seem "right". When you're not listening to them, you're watching them on DVD or on your iPod, and when you're not doing that, you're reading about them in any sort of biography that mentions Zeppelin. You buy Zeppelin shirts that prominently display the band members faces or name and purposely don't wear a jacket outside so you can show off. You spend a small fortune on concert tickets to get the best possible seats just so there's a chance a certain band member may look at you. In more than one conversation during your day you mention the words "Led Zeppelin" or "Robert Plant". I uh... know someone like that.

Haha! I believe he does too!

What face? Oh wait, there it is.
  5. That's very cool. I love the '77 tour from what I've heard. Obviously I can see how it would differ from the early years, but what an experience it would have been to witness ANY year live.
  6. I would say just use some pics from Live Aid as your cover:
  7. One other song in which the lyrics affected me to a great degree. Mother Love Bone - Man Of Golden Words Wanna show you something like The joy inside my heart Seems I've been living in the temple of the dog Where would I live, if I were a man of golden words? And would I live, at all? Words and music, my only tools Communication And on her arrival, I will set free the birds It's a pretty time of year, and the mountains sing out loud Tell me, Mr. Golden Words, how's about the world? Tell me can you tell at all? Words and music, my only tools Communication Let's fall in love with music The driving force in our living The only international language Divine glory, the expression The knees bow, the tongue confesses The lord of lords, the king of kings The king of kings Words and music - my only tools Communication
  8. Robert Plant in exactly 1 week. I know I've already mentioned it on this thread, but I'm going to do it as much as I can, because after next Monday I'll never be able to say that again. (At least for a looooong time.)
  9. Lucifuge is one of my all time fave albums. I've seen Danzig a few times, and met Glenn 2x. He was a really nice guy. Would like to see them again if I get the chance.
  10. Check out their MySpace page HERE
  11. If it was Page/Jones, I'd be more inclined to believe it. But Page/Plant? Unless Alison is sitting beside them while the press conference is happening, I don't think this is true.
  12. There was a thread on this a while back. From what I remember no one from the 70's shows posted. But it would be very cool indeed to have been shown in any released Zeppelin footage. Especially from TSRTS since it's probably the most well known concert footage.
  13. Those screen caps were great. Thanks for posting that. In this one he looks like he's reading the kiddies a bedtime story. lol Or perhaps he's telling them anecdotes of the 1973 tour.
  14. Were they a death metal band, or am I way off?

Katuschka - I like your sig... perhaps Robert should have a "Just Push Play" button installed on him for some people. lol
  16. Thanks!! It's from a video clip HERE of Plant/Krauss doing "Black Dog". Screencap provided by Sunray!
  17. I had no idea about the story behind the pic. Interesting!!
  18. I used to be a huge Aerosmith fan. It sort of dwindled over the years, and then caught them again recently on the tour they did with Motley Crue. I was so impressed, and had forgotten how good they were live. Steven, especially with his backflips.
  19. I gained a lot of respect for John after reading his autobiography. But then lost some of it when the Pistols did their reunion tour a few years back. I remember watching some TV interview and John would create a big stink and then walk out in a huff over a question he didn't like. But it was so fake, and he was trying to be like how they were in the 70's. It was a bit ridiculous. But I'm curious to see this show though. Didn't he have another TV show at one point? I think him (along with Henry Rollins) would do well if they found the right show to express themselves. I love The Henry Rollins Show on IFC.
