1. That would be a priceless photo, if one was made public.

Foo Zeppelin

The pic and video were amazing. That would've been so cool to have seen. But I guess seeing Robert on the same night was an alright consolation.
4. I just found out last week that a co-worker of mine got married to "Sea Of Love" by The Honeydrippers. Does that count?
5. Was this in Vancouver? At the Seattle '77 show during the acoustic set, he mentions how there must be some people from British Columbia there, and how Vancouver is "one of the worst places in the world to get spiked, but one of the greatest places to play."
6. I agree with all of this. It's funny watching Alison looking at him. He's letting loose and dancing, and you can get the feeling that he's really being taken by the music. She's sort of looking at him in amusement, or dare I say in a way a daughter may be embarrassed of her father. But hey - I like it! And yes - jeans dammit.... jeans!!!

Jimmy's Hair

In one of the Zep books, it says he used used to put curlers in his hair, and then primp in front of the mirror for awhile, making sure his hair looked just right. Hey... it was worth it.
8. I really need to read before I double post topics. But this would be cool if it happens, even if it's not all 3. But I can't fault Plant for not being there, since I'll be seeing him instead.
9.

by Scott Colothan 06 June 2008 Photo by: David Burbidge A tabloid report claims that members of Led Zeppelin will be joining the Foo Fighters onstage at their headline Wembley Stadium shows this weekend. Dave Grohl of course is a huge fan of the British rock titans and flew over for their one-off O2 Arena show last December. He has apparently been in talks to get members of Zep onboard to perform live with him at Wembley since. According to the Daily Star, the talks have paid off so Jimmy Page, John Paul Jones and Jason Bonham will join the Foos at the stadium tonight and tomorrow. Robert Plant won't perform because of his touring commitments with Alison Krauss. A 'source' told the rag: "He (Dave Grohl) had the night of his life seeing Zep performing together after all these years and was really keen to be involved with them somehow. "It didn't come off for him to play with them at the time so he suggested they might like to come and do something at a Foos date. Robert Plant is doing his own stuff in the States. "But Dave has been talking to other members of Zep and they will play three of their own songs with the Foos and see how things go. It's going to be mega." An unlikely story then, but if it does happen it will truly be phenomenal.
10. Debbie Harry influenced MANY female musicians in terms of vocals and style... just like Madonna has. People that you or I would not even have guessed. I'm not huge fans of either, but I do like songs by both, and appreciate them for what they've done over the years as far as influence goes.
11. I really like the Knebworth version of WLL. There's an interview with Jonesy somewhere, and he's asked if the "funkier" version was planned or impromptu. Can't remember where I read it, but if I find, I'll post it.
12. v Is that Rockabilly Rob, or Mohawk Bob?
13. That would be interesting, that's for sure. I would love to hear 'Ship Of Fools' in the set. One of my all time favorites.
14. I remember some pics posted of the tour book, and they were really nice. Here's a GREAT vid from the CT show: Plant/Krauss June 4
15. That's funny, maybe I'll yell that out as an after remark. "AT LEAST IT WASN'T STAIRWAY!"
16. If you listen to his "plantations" one after the other, it's highly amusing. The guy really should consider a career in stand up comedy... you know, in case the music thing doesn't work out.
17. Mine's just my usual screen name that I use everywhere.
18. Me too! Finally, after it felt like forever for the date to get here.
19. I don't feel it's overrated at all. I've heard people actually groan when the first few notes of "Stairway" come on the radio due to over exposure, but not with "Kashmir". I think more than anything, it's more familiarity than overrated. I think people who aren't familar with Zep's music KNOW it's Zep when they hear "Kashmir". I know I was like that before I was a fan.
20. Wow, all the reviews have been fantastic. I cannot wait to see this show very soon!! Did they play "Hey Hey What Can I Do" or "29 Palms"? Also, did you notice what kind of merch they had?
21. I like that. Maybe I'll try yelling out TALL COOL ONE, and see what happens.
22. Thanks for this... I was curious what this place looked like.
23. I agree. I remember an interview he did early on in the year - I believe it was This Morning in January - where they said to him something along the lines of "Why Alison? At this stage in your career, you could've chosen anybody in the world you wanted to work with", and his answer was "I did".
