  1. This was my first zeppelin boot & will always be my fav! The medley's from 1970 are amazing!
  2. I presume this is the show where Jimmy & Joe Walsh first met each other?
  3. Speaking of vocals... I thought I read on the forum here that the track "La La" did have vocals from Plant, but Page didn't include them. Any thoughts or conformations? Thanks!
  4. That's a great review of a early Zeppelin show and their Chicago debut too! For the writer to pick up on Page playing For What It's Worth as well as knowing the names of songs played shows this guy was no slouch. Too bad he wasn't at the Chicago gig a couple of years later! Side bar... does anyone know the first time they played FWIW?
  5. The fade out on Hey Hey What Can I Do..... I LOVE the way the track ends but it fades out...would love to hear it at the same level as the rest of the track.
  6. I just found this show! I've heard many talk about it, but never sought it out. Holy Shit this thing smokes!
  7. I was in 7th grade in 1980, I'll never forget walking the halls at Frost Jr. High (Schaumburg, IL) the day after. Lot's of sad faces that day. Fast forward to December 8th and I remember my band/music teacher crying. Man what a year for loss. Bonzo, Scott, and Lennon. + Darby Crash for any punk fans here....
  8. That's what I hate about these re-releases. Page cuts so much out. Whole Lotta Love is killer esp with those medleys. But I guess, It's your thing, do wtah'cha wanna do.
  9. First concert was Robert Plant in 1983 & my third was The Firm! I have somewhere in this house a bunch of photos from this show taken on a Kodak Disc camera. Now if I can only find them!
  10. I have to wonder what JP was thinking upon seeing Montana for the first (maybe last) time. It's SO different from England. Wow. Great photos
  11. The evening show at MSG in 1970 - the day Hendrix died. Someone during the killer medley's during WLL or HMMT - A guy says "can I get up there with you" or something similar. I took that to mean they were all on their chairs! That's one of my fav gigs from 1970 & is a full on rocker!
  12. Stones at Altamont - Biker "My bike just blew up" Mick "I know".... Zeppelin at one of the Aussie or New Zealand shows - "Oh my ears, man"!
  13. Isn't this stuff most of us have already? I see nothing new here.
  14. I love it! Plant with no shoes on & on the grass in front of the band. Just killer! And I think there are only a couple of photos of him on stage with out shoes on (the Bobby & the helmets gig maybe?)... Do you remember what songs they were doing at the soundcheck?
  15. From American Airlines inflight magazine June 2016 - How on earth can they get this wrong? I get it that Led Zeppelin and John's passing was a generation ago, but come on people! Sorry about the sideways post - stupid iPhone - looks normal till it goes "live" I did tweet American Airlines I'll let you know if I get a response #factcheckfail. #factcheckfail!
  16. Love that shot - Bath and Bonzo with two or three beers at the foot of his congas and a mic for the gong!
  17. Me too! I'm mostly curious about what might be found in the rubble/ashes. Given the history of the house this would be great for a university archeologist's first dig!
  18. How ever it was done it's freaking genius! My buddies and I pulled out PG on vinyl and someone said what's your fav song on PG & I said - Side three : )
