When will we get more information about the Led Zeppelin streaming service?
-
A glass of... wait, who am I kidding? A nice bottle of Malbec please. I've been alcohol free since 1 September and tobacco free since 20 September. Looking forward to that first drink on 31 January and hopefully still tobacco free. For me, the tobacco struggle is the hardest.

All this talk about the companion disc - I'm putting it on right now.

I'm glad to have what we do have. I'm a bit disappointed like many others here and wish Page would have done something like the Beach Boys did for the Pet Sounds Box Set. Could you imagine 4 plus cd's of outtakes, false starts, studio chatter, for Zeppelin IV or PG. That's the stuff I wished for the most.

LED ZEPPELIN OFFICIAL ILLUSTRATED BOOK - COMING 2018

Plus on one of my 75 boots, I think Plant name checks Jimmy as Jimmy "Jack Daniels" Page. -

Is that a Dave Edmunds album under the newspaper and sandwich? Can anyone ID the gear? Revox reel to reel maybe?

I seem to remember a pretty cool promo poster for The Photographers Led Zeppelin - It looked like a proof sheet with the negative numbers and sprocket holes surrounding the actual photos. I've seen it on eBay a few times, but never pulled the trigger. IIRC its usually between $50 and $100 USD. -
Neal Preston's best photograph: Robert Plant catches a dove

Preston for sure - I love how the background is obscured. Looks like water almost. -
What's the worst live performance of a song?
The Only Way To Fly replied to gibsonfan159's topic in Led Zeppelin Live
Thank God, they never imploded like Creed, The Doors, Amy Winehouse, or like Ozzy and the stupid bat incident. Granted if they had toured the states in 1980 something would have happened. But we'll never know. 12 years and a couple of bad songs/shows - I'm grateful for what we have and hope there's a new show out there to be release soon! -
What show or live song are you listening to now?
The Only Way To Fly replied to Misfit's topic in Led Zeppelin Live
Look forward to this day every year. The Blueberry Hill show/boot holds a special place in my heart because it was the first bootleg I bought somewhere round 1984 or 1985. Rolling Stones Records in Chicago, Illinois. -
Another excellent show - Netflix is KILLING it these days!

Jimmy Page Iconic Dragon Suit
The Only Way To Fly replied to rchan202's topic in Led Zeppelin Master Forum
That's awesome! I could never pull off wearing that - even if I were as good as a guitar player as Page was. My personality of more in line with the Nudie Suits Gram Parsons wore. -
Items you can't convince yourself to buy
The Only Way To Fly replied to gibsonfan159's topic in Led Zeppelin Master Forum
I convinced myself to buy this. Some of you may have seen this item on eBay. Not bad for $20. I can't help but think, it was made by some teenager just after the show they went to, in say.... 1973- 113 replies

Which shows do we know were multitracked?
The Only Way To Fly replied to nick2632's topic in Led Zeppelin Live
Apart from the tapes that are either horded or in the attic (which is a real drag) I am grateful for the photo's that get regularly added to the time line. There's a new photo almost every other day! I hold out hope that somebody has a bunch of Super 8MM reels stuffed in granny's attic as well! -
Bagram Airfield, Afghanistan - Hot!

I remember shortly after Bonzo died TSRTS came to the local theater. Woodfield Mall, Schaumburg, Illinois. I was in 8th grade and my parents made me take a nap before getting woken up around 11:30pm to go to the show. As we pulled into the parking lot, the cops had a car pulled over and I saw a cop reach into the car and pull out a bong and put it on the roof of the car. Then we get inside the movie & people were smoking weed, drinking beers - lots of shouts of "Zeppelin" and somebody even lit off a bottle rocket. It was super rowdy but calmed down once the show began. A few years ago, I took my own son who would have been around the same age to see the Zeppelin movie that came out around the time of the re-releases. A very different audience - no weed, no rowdiness, no booze, and not nearly loud enough. How times have changed. Yet, The Song Remains The Same.

Song Remains the Same Re-Issue - No Quarter
The Only Way To Fly replied to joncl's topic in Led Zeppelin Reissues
Anyone have any thoughts on why Page added Over the Hills, The Ocean, etc. but NOT Thank You from the last night in NY? Is he saving that for Record Store Day 2019 (sigh....) -
Hadn't seen this one before. What's the origin?
The Only Way To Fly replied to gibsonfan159's topic in Photos
Having trouble uploading the photo - but Page is wearing the same shirt during this photo session. I can hear Jimmy speaking into the Mic "ok, Bonzo, one more time".... -
Grandmother 1986 while watching The Song Remains The Same on Christmas Day. "George, didn't I take you to see these guys? Me, Wait, Grandma you saw Zeppelin? Yes, it was SO loud and the guitar player was so skinny". My uncle George was 13 in 1973 and she took him to go see Zeppelin at The Chicago Stadium that summer. George saw Zeppelin again in 77 at the Chicago Stadium and was at the show that ended early. Sadly he passed away in 1990. My grandmother however is still alive - she's 94!

The Trouble with Bonham. 1978-80
The Only Way To Fly replied to strombringer101's topic in Led Zeppelin Master Forum
I doubt that, considering they had their own demons to deal with. When you want to get high/get a fix and you have ample access to the high quality drugs, the last thing you think about is telling another addict/drug buddy that they're the ones that need help. No Plantations about Dr. Badgley on the 80 tour as far as I know, but maybe if he was a long he could have intervened?
