Oh No--Joan was one of my heroes, so lively and active into her later years. At least she clearly lived life to the fullest. Many many people will be sad today.
-
It's called having an opinion. Exactly.
-
That is one of the most ridiculous statements I've ever read on this forum, and God knows I've read some over the years.

Saw their live show with the Third Man Records House Band a couple of weeks ago, it was one of the best musical nights I've had in ages. The Letterman show wasn't Wanda's best night, though, as for one thing earlier in the day she'd learned about her mother's passing. But they were fantastic on Conan.

They're still one of my favorite bands in the universe, and you can put big money on no reunion.

Do you think Jimmy Page is better today?
Aquamarine replied to Black-Dog's topic in Led Zeppelin Newbies
Exactly. How do we know what he sounds like now? (And the sooner we find out, the better, IMO!) -
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gv5xETPUsmg&feature=player_embedded I was at this show last Friday, it was incredible. So much fun.
-
Made some great music, IMO, whatever their personalities.

Wasn't all this in Mick Bonham's book? It had a different title when I got it, so may be the one referred to above (The Powerhouse Behind . . .) I don't have it here right now, so can't check.
-
Nope. Judging from the most recent interviews, they seem to be getting on better than they have in years.

I was just going to give you a hard time about "most longest," then I saw you're from the Ukraine. Welcome. So, I don't know the answer, but I'm sure someone can help you out.

Hats Off To (Roy) Harper ?
Aquamarine replied to NobodysFaultButJimmys's topic in Led Zeppelin Master Forum
Exactly--it's (deliberately) the rough-edged sound of a country blues record. It's one of my favorite tracks on the album. -
That's a bizarre schedule. Minneapolis, then down to Florida, then back up to Vancouver.

Elvis is NOT the "King of Rock and Roll"
Aquamarine replied to zosodude13's topic in Other Bands / Music
Exactly. -
So where is the "Band Of Joy II" studio l.p. yet?
Aquamarine replied to AlexKx's topic in Pre / Post-Zeppelin Forum
I think you are confusing this with the second album he had planned with Alison Krauss, AlexKx. (And no, I don't know where it is.) -
Robert Plant Almost Quit Led Zeppelin
Aquamarine replied to SuperDave's topic in Led Zeppelin Master Forum
Of course it flashes out of the blue by chance, that's what makes it magic. Sometimes the chemistry of four people just works together perfectly, for no single reason you can put your finger on, while four other people can spend years trying to find that spark and it's just not there, no matter how much they want it or try to create it. -
Though now they've moved to Nashville . . I adore the BK, hard to believe this is the first thread about them! But timely, as they seem posed on the brink of becoming big (which in a way is kind of a shame, as those small intimate gigs are the best, but it's what they've wanted all along, so good luck to 'em).

I'm going to say in her favor that there's some really good stuff on her blog, which I'd prefer to judge her on.

Robert Plant Almost Quit Led Zeppelin
Aquamarine replied to SuperDave's topic in Led Zeppelin Master Forum
That's my take on it, too. -
Robert Plant Almost Quit Led Zeppelin

I think that to interpret his words as "Led Zeppelin = bad things will/might happen to me" suggests a need for therapy, too. It's a total distortion. -

Happy birthday, dear Jimmy. Manifest, goddamit!

http://forums.ledzeppelin.com/index.php?/topic/8221-reunion-dvd/ Plus several other thread in that section! None of which can answer your question, as nobody knows.

No, definitely not Susan George--looks like Jackie DeShannon to me. (Though as the question was asked in 2008, maybe they've solved it by now? )
