  1. I can handle everything in TSRTS except when the crow attacks that dude in the castle. I laughed at that scene when I was 16, and I laugh at it now. It's tied to his belt with a piece of string for pete's sake....like a plastic crunch bird is trying to eat his ass !
  2. I bought "Beggar's Banquet" this past weekend. It's always been my favorite Stones album. This was the 96' remaster done by Allen Klien. I'm usually not very opiniated on this subject, but what a lousy job of mixing. You can't even hear the acoustic intro to "Street Fighting Man", and all of the vocals are sent to different speakers. It's like listening to a 1964 Beatles album. Yuck ! (and only a moron like me would pass up all the other new remasters that were staring me in the face...and pick this one. What a dumbass ! )
  3. "To me there's just one thing left in the end..... Your Guitar & your Pen !!"
  4. Ah....Fall in Detroit. Is there anything prettier ?
  5. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OWGuvuOW5Rc Soul Train !
  6. What they really found inside that balloon....
  7. Yes, Is this the party to whom I am speaking ? **snort snort**
  8. Just google actor John Saxon.....now remove some hair in the front.....Voila !
  9. Hey ZFF....How's it going ? I say carrying 'The Annihilator' in public places or in your car these days ain't such a good idea. One has to be careful about partaking on the road and in motel rooms. I search for rooms with outdoor balconies myself. Then I can smoke whatever I want once the sun goes down without offending anyone. The aroma mixes with the pine in a very nice way. I also roll 'em big so they look just like cigarettes. Rock On Dude !...and thanks for the compliment. At least someone on this boring board still has a beating heart.
  10. Time for that annual picture.... Me and my better half, Miss Lynda. This was taken at "Lake of the Clouds" in the Porcupine Mts. in Michigan's Western U.P.
  11. I saw 'Extract' the other day. It was an obvious low budget flick, but it works. Funny as hell too. It has some great work stereotypes that will crack you up. Kinda reminded me of a mild "Hangover". They are filming the remake of "Red Dawn" about a mile from my house. They filmed a major scene with a plane crashing into a building...cool as hell ! It was the first time I ever got near an actual film crew in action. (I'm on vacation for 3 weeks....and writing this from Baraga in the Upper Peninaula....God's country !)
  12. Did anyone see the CBC special on early 80's Canadian Rock the other night ? Catch it if you get a chance. I thought they did a damn good job on Toronto's raggae scene. I forgot all about 'Red Ryder'.
  13. Hi kiddies ! Anyone interested in lifting some free weights down my basement ?

  15. A simple misdemeanor for under an ounce in Michigan.....and just because I don't want it legalized, doesn't mean it shouldn't be decriminalized.
  16. 10 years ago I would have said yes. Now I think differently. The gov't will never supply any weed as good as I get right now, nor for as cheap Oh I always use it properly ! Sir....I think it's time you came to the realization that this board as a whole has the attention span of gnat.
  17. I finally found out my neighbor's last name, but the situation is getting weirder. Three crime investigation cars came last night and the place was roped off again. Today the haz-mat team showed up, and they are about to go in with full suits and respirators. They already did the blood clean-up this weekend without them.....so I'm kind of confused at the moment. Maybe an autopsy showed drugs or foul-play ? Heck...I've seen at least 20 people go in and out of there in the last few days that were not with the law. If it's a crime scene, it's certainly not a secure one. If they suspected foul play with a weapon, you would think they would want to question the neighbors about hearing or seeing anything. I have to practice my Sgt Schultz imitation....."I know nothing !" We haven't heard a word about his daughter, but many kids in the complex played and went to school with her, so I hope we hear something positive shortly. Hey Vic and others....thanks for the kind words. I think suicide is something I'll never really understand. This has happened once before to someone I knew, and it sent me reeling just as much now as it did then. And on a not so serious note....it's getting tough to fire up the bong with all these coppers around !
  18. Thanks gang. Every day when I came home at 4:00pm my neighbor was standing outside having a cigarette. He didn't smoke in the house because of his daughter. He would always smile and ask me, "How's it going Tim ?", and we'd have a small conversation about the weather or the Tigers before I walked upstairs. I'm going to see him standing out there for a long time in my mind. This really sucks, and my old neighbor who owns the place is heartbroken because he had to evict him the day before. He was totally shattered when he heard the news. RIP Rodney.
  19. My next door neighbor took his own life on Friday morning. He was only 31 years old. He shot himself in the head with a revolver. He was a union painter and hadn't worked in over a year and a half. He was so desparate for work that he tried to join the Service, but they didn't want him until November. I had just shared a 6 pack with him on Wednesday night. We sat on the porch (same place as my profile pic...he lived to the right) and had a nice conversation for over an hour until the mosquitos started biting. He was divorced....his ex-wife had drug problems, and he got custody of his 6 year old daughter just a couple of months ago. She moved in with him at that time, and I had gotten to know both of them very fairly well. She didn't make a move without him. There was no funeral service....no news article...not even an obituary in the paper. We later found out he was months behind in his rent, credit cards maxed out, and his truck repossessed. When we talked Wednesday night, I could tell things could be better, but he didn't give me any hints that he was at his wit's end....or that he was about to cash it in. I'm really bummed about this, and both have been constantly on my mind since. I feel so sorry for this little girl. To think that she is going to have to deal with this her entire life makes me very very sad.
