I totally deleted my other R and J stuff around 11:45pm tonight. On purpose.

Now it's 2:30am.

I've been working my ass off since 12:30, and now I really have my Romeo and Juliet stuff all done and together. I'm READY for this to begin!

Bring it on!

Summer School starts Tuesday!

R and J is going to freakin' rock!

Oh yeah. B)

I bet it will :D

I live in the Blue Ridge Mountains of Georgia and weather permitting (usually 99% of the time,) I have my coffee on the deck with my two dogs - over looking the mountains while the deer eat the wild blueberries growing on the mountain. This morning I put ZEP I on and thanked God for another day.

Hello Manders Danders...you preparing for a play or something?

Nope. I'm teaching summer school--9th grade English at an alternative high school in Boise. It starts on Monday (for me, the kids are there Tuesday).

Romeo and Juliet is for the second semester, which starts in July.

I bet it will :D

Thanks. Keep up my confidence. I need the boost for Monday afternoon. ;)

That does sound lovely. I would love a view like that, but a view of the mountains and the ocean would be my heaven.

I was happy when after attempting roast turkey, roast chicken and brisket, with no success, my anorexic cat ate 1/4 can of fancy feast turkey and gravy. That and the little bit of milk she has been drinking the past couple days. Sad to watch a beloved pet dying before your eyes. I hope she will continue to eat :) Also happy today, while rainy, was nice and cool (mid to upper 60's). Felt nice.

it's so sad when a family pet comes to the end of their lives.

last year our old cat died. he was 16. he just went missing one day, and we found him in the back yard in some long grass under a tree. looks like he just lay down and went to sleep, but didn't wake. he had been healthy all his life, only one trip to the vet, to get desexed. and he was still eating and scaling high fences right up to the last. i thought he may have been injured, or bitten by a snake, but couldn't find any evidence of that. he may have eaten poison, guess i'll never know. we buried him right where he died.

i hope your old cat goes peacefully, tangerine.xo

Thank you so much for sharing your story, slave to zep. It warms my heart :) when people share about their wonderful pets. My cat is 15 years and 3 months old. The vet says her liver failure was from aging. My vet wanted to be more aggressive and put in a nasogastric tube and give her tube feedings, but i can't imagine the expense or putting her through that. I was thrilled to see her eat tonight. She is still happy and the vet promises she won't have any pain. I hope he is right. Tasha was always an indoor cat. She definitely had a nice life. It's just so hard to watch her being ill. I have another cat who is 9 months younger who is fine.

I'm sorry about your cat. She may have very well died of natural causes. Any cat who is 15 or older is definitely "elderly" and has lived a long life!

oh yes, he definately was elderly. and the poor thing had moved with us to 8 different houses, and never once tried to go back to the previous one. he always settled right in with us. he was a funny old thing, he loved me to hold him in my arms like a baby, lol.

I'm sure you miss him :) Sounds like a really wonderful cat. Tasha likes to sit nearby you or on your lap, but neither of my cats enjoy being held. Do you have any other pets?

lol, funny reason for the name. I have always found male cats to be more affectionate. Both mine are female, and Tasha especially, has always been very affectionate. My other cat is loving to those she knows well, but cautious of strangers. Nice chatting with you and i hope snowballs brings you plenty of joy!

Kittens and all baby animals for that matter, are just so adorable! One thing about females i have seen over the years from having many friends with cats, females don't "spray". I have known quite a few male cats that did, and this was my number one reason for buying female cats :)

Tangerine, I'm sorry to hear about your cat getting old/sick.

It's hard to lose animals.

There was a GIANT thunderstorm this evening. How I love those. ;)

Thank you Mandy! She's hanging in there, but getting her to eat is a challenge.

I'm happy i have time for a nap today!

I got tickets to see Fleetwood Mac this morning!! :cheer: I'm so excited. I can't wait 'til November. I saw them back in '03 and they were amazing. I promised myself that if they came back to the UK again I'd drag my boyfriend along. He's actually pretty excited about it too!! Yay! :cheer:

:cheer: That's great LDW!!!!! I've actually never seen them :o Bummer it's not until November though  But something to look forward to!
