John Paul Jones appearing at Taylor Hawkins Tribute concerts in London and LA

Led Zeppelin bassist John Paul Jones and Heart guitarist Nancy Wilson have joined the star-studded lineups of Foo Fighters‘ tribute concerts in honor of late drummer Taylor Hawkins, taking place in London on September 3 and Los Angeles on September 27.

Jones will be performing at both concerts, while Wilson will take part in the LA event.

Other new additions include Nirvana‘s Krist Novoselic, frequent Foo Fighters producer Greg Kurstin and Queens of the Stone Age collaborator Alain Johannes at both shows, as well as Chic‘s Nile Rodgers and viral kid music prodigy Nandi Bushell at the London concert, and pop star Pink and country/pop singer LeAnn Rimes at the Los Angeles event.

Additionally, Chris Rock will join fellow comedian Dave Chappelle at the London show.

Previously announced performers for both shows include Queen‘s Brian May and Roger Taylor, Rush‘s Geddy Lee and Alex LifesonThe Police‘s Stewart CopelandWolfgang Van Halen, Jane’s Addiction‘s Chris Chaney, Queens of the Stone Age’s Josh Homme, producer Mark Ronson and drummer/producer Omar Hakim.

The LA lineup also includes Joan Jett, Alanis Morissette, KISSGene SimmonsRed Hot Chili PeppersChad Smith, Mötley Crüe‘s Nikki Sixx, Miley CyrusWeezer‘s Pat Wilson, The StrutsLuke Spiller and Rage Against the Machine‘s Brad Wilk, while The PretendersChrissie Hynde and ex-Oasis singer Liam Gallagher are exclusive to the London bill.

The guests will be “playing the songs that Taylor loved and created, with and alongside his FF brothers Dave Grohl, Nate Mendel, Chris Shiflett, Pat Smear and Rami Jaffee,” a press release says.

The London concert takes place at Wembley Stadium, while the LA show will be held at The Kia Forum. For ticket info, visit FooFighters.com.

Ticket proceeds will be donated to charities in the U.S. and U.K. chosen by Hawkins’ family.

John Paul Jones is a working musician. Jimmy Page, on the evidence of the past 14 years, is not.

The damn thing seemingly sold out before it even went on sale. I got put in a queue and then it just flashed "Tickets are sold out. Check back soon."

Good to see JPJ invited to this. Couldn't help noticing Josh Homme & Alain Johannes on the bill too. Anyone know what playing shape Josh is in at the moment? I'd love another Crooked Vultures appearance, even if a record's not going to happen.

SAME! I'm in Phoenix and LA is a 5 or 6 hour drive from here. I tried and kept getting the same stupid message. Even had GF trying - we bothe struck out.

great to see Jones out there being seen manifesting music lol, Plant is coming to foxwoods saturday in ct. , smaller venue, 102.9 trying to give away tickets all day yesterday, saw them 10-12 years back, wife  and I will pass this time around  but at least 2 of 3  zepps are  out there, wheres Jimmy? thanks for vids.

Did a check and I haven't seen any plans to stream today's tribute show in Los Angeles like they did for the London show earlier this month. Anyone seen anything suggesting otherwise?

No, and that's quite a bummer. Still looking, but it seems no. Why not? No idea. There was one thing on you tube where they wanted you to pay, but that looks like BS...
