The entire thing was ridiculous. Anyone who went to the 1973 tour or knows anything about touring could see through the silliness of those scenes. Madison Square Garden was at the end of the tour, not the beginning. They would not have been home in England and flying to Madison Square Garden the next day. Plus, a band does not literally get their tour dates the day before they fly. The logistics involved in booking hotels and travel in advance means bands know their itinerary fairly well ahead of time.

Of all the dumb things in "The Song Remains the Same", the "tour dates" scenes are among the dumbest. Plus, that horrid wig on Jones.
