DoubleNecker Posted November 27, 2008 Posted November 27, 2008 Couldn't find a topic on them, so yeah. I've been really getting into Muse a lot lately. It's like, I heard all their albums and was most impressed by Origins of Symmetry, but dismissed the entire band for a bit. Then I watched Knights of Cydonia from HAARP on YouTube, and I'm like "holy shit, they rock" so yeah Muse, discuss. Quote
Xtazy Posted November 28, 2008 Posted November 28, 2008 I've only listened to Black Holes & Revelations but in poor quality. Despite that, I pretty much enjoyed it. The songs that pop in my head are Starlight, Invincible, Supermassive Black Hole and Exo-Politics. I'll probably search for more albums soon. Quote
DoubleNecker Posted November 28, 2008 Author Posted November 28, 2008 I actually just listened to HAARP last night, hot damn. Found me a new favorite band. Quote
DoubleNecker Posted December 12, 2008 Author Posted December 12, 2008 Bump (because I can) I bought HAARP the other day and it was worth it. Ripped the audio from the dvd (worth it) and I've gotten quite a lot of them now and I'm really really really enjoying these guys a lot. Too bad the "fans" on Last.fm like to do nothing but bitch. DoubleNecker Posted December 21, 2008 Author Posted December 21, 2008 Well, Muse are having an immense impact on me. They're bringing me out of my depression. A fiery obsession is still in effect I've taken time to look about info on Matt Bellamy's guitars. Man, they're so original and weird. Some great sounds they can make Quote
leddy Posted December 21, 2008 Posted December 21, 2008 I like playing Hysteria on guitar, the opening bass riff is soo cool to play on the electric guitar and can be a little tricky. I do like some of their stuff, interesting stuff. Quote
Moby Mick Posted November 19, 2009 Posted November 19, 2009 my favourite band, fantastic live. seen em twice they are a must-see for anyone tbh Quote
Electrophile Posted November 19, 2009 Posted November 19, 2009 The only song of theirs I've heard is Supermassive Black Hole and I love it. Quote
Jarlaxle 56 Posted November 20, 2009 Posted November 20, 2009 Holy crap Ricky, didn't know you still posted on here. Anyway, you know what I think of Muse. Quote
Toronto Zeppelin Posted November 20, 2009 Posted November 20, 2009 Have all the albums except for Showbiz (debut). My order would be... 1. Absolution (Amazing album) 2. Black Holes & Revelations 3. Origin Of Symmetry 4. The Resistance I've been finding The Resistance difficult to get into, nothing is really blowing me away, hopefully more listens will change that. Quote
maven2blue Posted November 21, 2009 Posted November 21, 2009 Starlight is an awesome song. I also have Newborn and Supermassive Black Hole on my Zen player Quote
Toronto Zeppelin Posted December 19, 2009 Posted December 19, 2009 Yes got tickets to see them at the Air Canada Centre in March...can't wait! Quote
kaiser Posted December 19, 2009 Posted December 19, 2009 I saw their latest album in the library & I was going to check it out & burn it I got Santogold instead(enjoyed it). But I've heard nothing but good things about them for years so I'm going to check them out. Quote
Toronto Zeppelin Posted March 7, 2010 Posted March 7, 2010 I saw their latest album in the library & I was going to check it out & burn it I got Santogold instead(enjoyed it). But I've heard nothing but good things about them for years so I'm going to check them out. Seeing them tomorrow...so excited. Going back to my earlier comments, I do love The Resistance now. Resistance, United States Of Eurasia, My Heart Belongs To You and Exogenesis would be the highlites for me. Quote
EddieShouldHaveListened Posted March 8, 2010 Posted March 8, 2010 I just got back from seeing them at Madison Square Garden. I honestly don't think i'll see a better concert in my lifetime, that is unless i see muse again with better seats haha I'm uploading supermassive black hole right now, so i'll post it when it's done Quote
EddieShouldHaveListened Posted March 9, 2010 Posted March 9, 2010 Knights of Cydonia from the concert I went to that riff! oh my god that riff! Quote
Mr66 Posted March 14, 2010 Posted March 14, 2010 Brilliant! My favourite band at the moment. Seen them three times and will see them again when they are Australia in November Quote
toscano Posted March 14, 2010 Posted March 14, 2010 An absolute must-see live band. Inconsistent on album, I love parts of almost all their albums, but as a whole no one album makes it for me, absolution is probably the closest. But live : Great energy, great musicians, awesome stage show. Just brilliant. Quote
EddieShouldHaveListened Posted March 14, 2010 Posted March 14, 2010 yea, they're definitely one of the best live bands around Quote
Amusedoxi Posted March 20, 2010 Posted March 20, 2010 Love them too. I attended their gig in Moscow in 2007 and it blew my mind. They were brilliant and crowd was crazy. They were so surprised we know every single word in every song and cheer so loudly that Bellamy asked someone to turn the light on before the last song, cause he wanted to look at us Quote
BUK Posted March 17, 2015 Posted March 17, 2015 I'm kind of hot and cold on Muse..... Their energy is great but they seem cartoonish at times, to me. HOWEVER, this new track Reapers is a scary massive beast (if you can hear through the poor live quality). Just saying'....https://youtu.be/596ISCHL9-A Quote
