****SPOILER ALERT****** v v v v I just finished watching it and I liked. it. In 2 hours you can't really do a sequel to Breaking Bad so I would categorize 'El Camino" as an epilogue--- and in this case a comment/conclusion on the character Jesse Pinkman. Jesse's character deserved a conclusion. He was the ONLY one of the main players who did not have a conclusion. And I understand why, because at the end of Breaking Bad it would have been too anti-climatic to have done another two hours just to solve Jesse's problem after being freed by Walter. So Vince Gilligan makes us wait for it which I think makes for a sweeter taste at the end. Only two things I didn't like was how damn FAT the character who played Todd had become. Dude have a salad!!!! And I thought Walter White's part seemed a bit off. I know he was just there to juxtapose how he (Walt) was near the end of his success--- finally late in life... or so he surmised at that point in the story having just done a large cook which would have made Walt enough to cover his original plan. And that compared to Jesse, still young, and now with all of this money and his life ahead of him. I just though Brian Cranston didn't recapture the essence in that scene with Jesse. What was really great was Skinny Pete stepping up to figure out how to get the cops off of Jesse and do it so quickly. I also loved Robert Forrester's final appearance; this movie could not have been done without his part being included.

Reading about this weeks 7-2 SCOTUS decision gives me some hope.

Canned Heat rocked the house. The Paul Butterfield Blues band was way up there too, and who can deny the performace by The Band wasn't also top notch?

They won't give me a plastic bag at the grocery store for free anymore because plastic bags will kill the planet. But for 50 cents they will sell me a thicker plastic bag because that bag will never end up in a landfill somewhere or around the neck of a sea turtle.

Are chopsticks just a joke that just got out of hand? Who thinks those things are better than spoons and forks?

I would go back in time and change Lead Belly's name to Led Belly so that the English would stop pronouncing it as 'leed' Belly.

Spot on and probably the first thing you and I have agreed on in years. And yes when you see the film a 2nd time you will really appreciate how the pacing and the diaologe all comes together brilliantly even for some parts which during the first time you saw it may have thought kind of slow. Before I went to see the film the 2nd time I had already determined one particular part a little over halfway in where Rick Dalton was having a long scene with a young actress on the set waiting for their call (I won't say more) and I thought if I had needed a restroom break that would be the part where I would quickly take care of business. As it turned out however I didn't need to break and am very happy to have watched that scene again, followed the dialog and the emotion in it more closely and it was one of the best scenes in the film. No wonder QT left it so long--- it was probably the single most important interaction that the main character (Rick Dalton) had. To many a movie goer raised on the current flash and bang of superhero type films they would think that scene to be slow and boring, but it is really the heart of the whole film. The point where Rick Dalton is at his precipice in life not certain where thing will go for him, and aside from everything else going in with everyone else in the film it is his really important moment. I'm actually hoping to see if QT will ever do a limited release with even more material. I wonder what Tim Roth's deleted scenes were to be about?

I went the other day and saw the film for a second time. Enjoyed it even more than the first time. Lots of little details I missed the first time.

No wonder Margaret Qualley is so beautiful. With Andie MacDowell as her mother she is from good breed stock.

I heard this song today while in the supermarket produce department looking for peaches. Made me smile.... I even started humming along.
