  1. Saw GTLO last night at the Hard Rock Live in Biloxi, Mississippi and they were fantastic!! Very sincere and true to the music. They were all great, and I was especially drawn to the drummer...WOW!! Rock On GTLO!!
  2. Congrats on your anniversary, CP! Sounds like you made a great memory, and the train ride and sitting outside are lovely touches. Today, a boat ride on the river with family, with a stop at a waterside restaurant for lunch. Tonight, going to see Get the Led Out at the Hard Rock.
  3. One to watch... There may be a better place to post this?
  4. Great pics! ❤❤❤
  5. This is a great version, and even better to watch them playing live. I love those early days when they were blowing minds for the first time. The audiences are so interesting to watch...I'd love to know what they were thinking!! This is really good stuff!
  6. Thanks for posting these really great pics of Jimmy (and his guitars!), scylla! Wow, look at the air on that first one!!
  7. One of my favorite childhood memories is listening to America's Top 40 on that little white am/fm radio every Sunday night. Those were magical times, indeed, and Casey Kasem's voice is definitely like an old friend. RIP, dear Casey.
  8. Agree. I have a Nikon D5000 but haven't used it in a while and really need to learn how to take it off auto!
  9. Good post, juxtiphi! My ears don't hear enough similarities to warrant a lawsuit, this explains it.
  10. Stunning!! What kind of camera did you use for this?
  11. ^^^ I agree that on the companion, I'm enjoying the songs that don't have vocals as much as anything. It's great to focus on the instruments, and I realize that even when I listen to the originals, I'm oftentimes focusing on the instruments anyhow. As I suspected, I am drawn to both versions of SIBLY. I love every note of this song, and in both versions, I feel like each member pours their heart and soul into it. Jennings Farm Blues and Key to the Highway / Trouble in Mind are new to me, and I can already tell they will be among my most played LZ songs.
  12. Just picked up III from the post office and final numbers are: Led Zeppelin - 22125 Led Zeppelin II - 26542 Led Zeppelin III - 4057 WOW, Deborah J, you got really great numbers!! I am so excited about having III in my hands finally! I cannot wait to get this on the turntable and start exploring the contents of this beautiful box.
  13. Same as Deborah J, I received two SDBS today...YAY!!! Ordered all three on March 13 from amazon US. Today's shipment was delivered by FedEx. III was shipped via US postal service (not sure why they were split) and I'm hoping it's sitting at the post office as it was supposed to arrive today and the amazon status shows that the delivery has been completed. Led Zeppelin - 22125 Led Zeppelin II - 26542 Led Zeppelin III - ?? Time to go have a listen!!
  14. Jonesy in the second photo One of my favorites...
  15. Bad Company - Run With The Pack album. Got my turntable hooked up to the stereo and testing it out before the LZ reissues arrive, hopefully Friday. Paul Rdger's voice is so soothing, this is definitely making my two day wait less painful.
  16. When I listen to LZ, my foot taps, my body moves, I make faces, and my hands try very hard to keep up with the mad drumming skills of John Bonham!! Happy birthday, Bonzo, and THANK YOU for being the heartbeat of the best band on earth!! ❤
  17. Just received notice that the entire US tour of Jesus Christ Superstar is canceled. Bummer...was going to be a fun trip to New Orleans for opening night.
  18. Lovely pics, aen! Jimmy definitely still has that twinkle in his eyes!!
  19. Southern magnolias in full bloom!
