  1. I'm sure I will, about to listen right now. Thank you kindly.
  2. Have you heard the }{eywood version from a few years back, think you'll find that one hard to beat.

There's still a lot of Rugby on free to air TV probably because the for profit broadcasters like Sky don't see it as a cash cow like Premier League Footie, it's popularity is not as great, more a regional than a nationwide game. For example Wigan or St Helens are strong Rugby towns but the fan base of those teams doesn't really extend outside of those places.
  4. Yep, we all love a baddie, Icersien though, what did you actually mean.

First time in a long time I did not watch any of the Super Bowl. TBH don't know why I watch anyway, even after watching most years since 1983 I still don't get the game, too many stop starts for me, not enough flow imo..

Shades of Louis Karius. Alisson's performance yesterday was truly shocking, incompetence on a grand scale.
  7. Bitterly cold, light snow flurries right now, it won't hang around for long though.
  8. Indeed, I think we can write the rest of this year off, I fear most of 2022 also. 2023 before normality hopefully returns.
  9. Mrs JTM and son Dave had their first vaccine shots, Pfizer for her and OAZ for Dave. I'm not going to worry about when I will be getting mine. As for Bananas, I could live off them as long as they are ripe, hopefully I won't have too.

2020/21 has to be the strangest season in a long time, can't recall the top slot changing hands as often as it has this campaign. Liverpool seemingly don't have a chance of taking the top slot two years on the run, far too many injuries to contend with, around eight first choice players out at the moment with long term injuries. Covid 19 isn't helping (anyone) either, affected players being side lined while infected, then struggling to regain full fitness. Liverpool have lost their consistency with so much enforced rotation, it's almost a different team being fielded every other game. My main bugbear though is VAR, it needs to go. Disruptions are too long the flow of the game is being destroyed. Offside decisions are ridiculous, goals being ruled out for an elbow being over the "line", it's pathetic. If Liverpool don't beat Citeh this afternoon they can definitely kiss goodbye to retaining the title this time around.
  11. Disagree completely. The taper didn't get permission to record, so unless the tape stays in their own collection unheard by anyone but themselves then fine. But if that tape gets out either in full or fragmentally it's "public domain", open for anyone to do with what they want. If a shared fragment sends the taper into an apoplectic rage and then they decide to not share further that's up to them.
  12. We here in UK have to annually re register to vote, no re-registration, no vote. We don't need ID either, just turn up at your polling station give your name and address, check your slip, done.
  13. A "Strawberry" pressing I'm fairly sure is made in the UK, are your labels Plumb/Purple or Orange/Green. P/Ps are early pressings, O/G are not.
  14. My still at home son, diabetic on kidney dialysis three times a week and my wife a part time hospital worker are due their vaccine shots in the next couple of weeks, they both have weekly Covid tests, so far negative. Me, I'm just going to have to wait my turn.

I put the Spector thing here because he is undeserving of a place in the Rest in Peace thread.

I see Phil Spector is dead.
  17. Indeed, it amazes me that many people believe things that are not true.
  18. I believe in Beatles. Oh sugar, this isn't the Hoffman forums. I'll get me coat.
  19. Can't remember the last time I had a beer (any alcohol for that matter), must be five years ago. I do recall though my first pint in 1974 was 17 1/2p (brown/bitter).
  20. Wish someone would give me "£600", I could do with a contribution towards a new tonearm for my turntable.
  21. I had decided not to buy this Anthology thinking that it's just a book of look at once photos and already known information plus I didn't want to spend close to £400 on another Genesis publication that is going to remain in it's felt dust bag tucked away out of sight in a cupboard too precious to have a place on the bookshelf gathering dust and being exposed to light that will eventually cause fading. Anyway, a couple of weeks or so ago I had an FB notification that the bog standard retail version was selling for £36, interesting I thought. My youngest son also had the same notification and immediately posted "That's Dad's Xmas present sorted", not realising I may also have had the notification too. Christmas morning comes, he hands me my weighty present and laugh and say "I know what this is". Surprised he asks "How", "You posted it on FB you Wally". I'm rather pleased he got it for me, it's quite a lot better than I had expected it to be.
  22. There was the LPs box version in my local used record shop a couple of days ago, £150. Some mug will buy it.
