Chrisalchin
Just curious what would you guys classify jimmy pages fashion style as, in the yardbirds abd early zeppelin, the pink velvet suit to royal Albert hall skinny jeans and argyle vest? SteveAJones
In Jimmy's own words, "quite a dandy"
Chrisalchin
I've heard that, but more of a genre I'm after I guess, psyhedlic mod maybe?
SteveAJones
I've heard that, but more of a genre I'm after I guess, psyhedlic mod maybe? ...I'd agree to that description for only a portion of his stint with The Yardbirds...but he really was a fashionista to a degree...didn't necessarily set any trends along the way but seldom followed them. The Dark Lord
.. he really was a fashionista to a degree.. I'm sure that he would prefer to be called a fashionisto......but then again, Robert did call him the "old woman".

Strider
Chrisalchin, if I was going to classify it at all, I would call it London Art School Fashion.
ScarletMacaw
I loved the embroidered outfits, the poppies, the dragon etc on black or white backgrounds. You can't categorize those outfits as a "style" or "fashion" as they were performance costumes. As for his other attire, I like the mix of masculine and feminine elements...to me this shows someone who is comfortable with himself. truth and beauty
Hi PlanetPage - they're lovely, particularly the poppies. Could you share some information about how they were created: did you commission them, do them yourself ?
PlanetPage
Hi PlanetPage - they're lovely, particularly the poppies. Could you share some information about how they were created: did you commission them, do them yourself ?Hello "truth and Beauty"...thank you for your lovely comments to appericate the artist's creativity, to share some information for the moment, the Fabric Painting artist is New Delhi, India, based, via facebook Haya: Passion for Fabric. I foremost commissioned the artist and thereafter she purchased the fabric and paint. I proposed my design ideas for Jimmy's Zoso/Poppy scarf and Saree soon to be completed in coming month, inspriation focus, being the White Dragon Suit'77 ...theme of Jimmy's Symbol and Poppies of Kashmir, White Satin Suit...The Saree will have only poppy border...The fabric for the scarf is Pure Paper Silk, it has been bleached to remove the yellowish tinge, as the designer informs me, the scarf is 2 mtrs. length, half mtr. width; she will also paint another scarf on White Cotton Silk known as "Chanderi Silk" on her visit to Chanderi last week....just to compare which fabric will have better flow with paint...it is Free Hand painting, as I am informed...For the Saree, she has chosen already Pure Crepe, and for my knowledge, she informs me that starch must be removed prior to painting... I will try to post the pure crepe fabric photo little later on, I am unable to upload to photobucket...I hope this is helpful, if you have any questions, I can always submit it to the artist, she is very kind to answer anything... she is enjoying the paintings...she has clients mostly in New Delhi...I will post more photos for all those interested...this was my creative thought, as I saw many fans creating various Zeppelin art...Both Robert and Jimmy apperciated Eastern Fabrics, and shall I say in Jimmy's words..."Colours and Textures"...
