anniemouse
in pick 1 was that the average amp set up for them onstage. If so how on earth did they get the massive sound.

I think you mean JPJ´s mellotron and the keys, clear to see in this picture: Edited March 7, 2019 by Autumn Moon
anniemouse
Thank you for that. Yes it is clearly the mellotron. I am still amazed at how little kit they needed on stage to make their sound.

I think you mean JPJ´s mellotron and the keys, clear to see in this picture: the Offenberg show is the greatest live Rock guitar playing I've ever heard and I've seen many live shows including Allman's w/ Duane, Johnny Winter numerous times, Jeff and Clapton, Mahavishnu, Frampton, Buck Dharma, Jorma, Montrose, etc. Jimmy was so fast, clean, POWERFUL and tasteful on (at least) one night that it remains hardwired to my brain. Not saying Jimmy, or anyone is good, great, better, best overall, that would be impossible, but for one night... wow.

The Army recruiting poster with a big peace sign over a soldiers face and hanging above a bunch of hippies. What a time the early 1970's must have been.
