Starlight is one of my favorite songs off Slash's album. After recently listening to the Blackbird album by Alter Bridge, I was really looking forward to these songs (Starlight and Back from Cali). Myles is one hell of a singer, he has his own style, he is easily recognizable and I'm really happy with Slash choosing him to front his touring band.

Great article. Love Myles' humility. To other rock stars near his age, he's become "The guy that Jammed with Zep". Immediate respect and cred. Yet Myles in his humble self sees them all as fans, rather than elevating himself. That's maturity. He deserves the recognition.

Myles Kennedy: None of the stuff I Did With Led Zeppelin Was Recorded, Nothing Will Ever Be Released

Back in 2008, Myles was briefly involved with Jimmy Page, john Paul Jones and Jason Bonham.

As you may or may not remember, Myles was rumored to be the new singer of Led Zeppelin back then, but the whole thing ultimately turned out to be just a side project that never materialized.

Anyhow, Myles told The Aquarian : "That was like the ultimate Rock N' Roll Fantasy camp! But there was nothing officially recorded with that. So, there will never be something officially released.

"There were more jams than anything. We got together and spent time in the room together jamming their back catalog and there were two songs that they had or riff ideas that I sang on top of, but that was about it.

"Nothing was officially recorded."

MYLES KENNEDY Hopes There Are No Recordings Of His Rehearsals With Members Of Led Zepppelin

myleskennedynapalmpromo_638.jpg.df871ab5390b18a952ebc9149211915c.jpg

Alter Bridge and Slash vocalist Myles Kennedy says that he hopes there are no recordings of his 2008 studio jam with the instrumental members of Led Zeppelin. Kennedy rehearsed and wrote music with guitarist Jimmy Page, bassist John Paul Jones and drummer Jason Bonham over the course of two sessions after Page and Jones were looking for a way to keep working following Led Zeppelin's incredible one-off performance at the 02 Arena in London in December 2007.

During a recent interview with radio personality Eddie Trunk, Kennedy revealed that no video was shot of the sessions but he said that he "has heard different accounts" about whether an audio recording of the rehearsals exists. He clarified, however, that the site of the jam "was not, like, a legit recording studio."

Surprisingly, Kennedy says that he would prefer it if his collaboration with the Zeppelin trio remained unheard by the general public. "I actually hope [it] didn't [get recorded], because I was actually pretty sick," he said. "I had come off a tour in Australia, and I remember I got there and I had bronchitis or something, and I remember it took a few days for my voice to come back. So I hope there is nothing that exists. [Laughs]"
