No but seriously that's messed up. And as others have said there is a huge doublestandard. The women that do this do not get punished or looked at the same way as men who do this. If a guy did this with a 13 year old girl he would be called the worst names in the book and the law would come down hard on his head and rightly so. But if a woman does it the worst that is said is.. I would know what it's like to the be the victim of unwanted sexual advances as a young child as well. I absolutely don't agree with the double standard. Working with junior high school kids, when I hear anything that has to do with them making out with anyone, dating, etc. I always think, "they're babies. BABIES!" and it kind of freaks me out. Even if these kids think they're ready to be doing these things, they're really not. Even if it's with people their own ages. Seriously. At that age, I thought I knew what I was doing, that I was more grown up than I actually was. Then I realized that I wasn't--years later. There was a teacher in my school district arrested for the same last week. Not good. I was actually in shock, considering I know a lot of people who know her, (though I don't know her personally). I think any person who would take advantage of a seemingly naive child in this manner should be punished to the full extent of the law. One of my friend's mothers works for the school board of one of the local school districts in my area--her job is the professional standards committee--and she says, "off with her head!" in response to anyone who would do something like this to compromise their authority and the student's safety. That is correct! because you have to expose yourself in order to take a leak it falls under the same laws. Though I don't condone urinating in public, I think it's a bit much to have one's face in the paper and on the state police web site along side a child molester. BTY, the Fucking Movie Industry, that bastion of goodness called Hollywood... considers an 13 year old an "adult".... I do not agree with "Statutory rape" laws. A Teen should know right from wrong. But in this "soft" society, we don't want to teach youngsters. Oh wait.... in some societies, fornication used to be illegal..... Everybody's got their own definition of what's right, and what's wrong. But.... I am thankful that I keep to myself..... I do not have to deal with these issues on an experience basis.. But even though I was underage, I would never consider the person who I screwed to be a sicko or a paedophile or anything like that at all, that's certainly not how it felt at the time and not even now that I'm 28 does it feel weird in retrospect. For the time that it lasted it was great, and it's what I wanted. We knew it wasn't going to last for ever because I think we realised our age difference prevented any sort of long term meaningful relationship, but for what it was, it was lovely It's just, I can't always agree with immediately crucifying or vehemently condeming someone who has been involved with someone who is under the age of consent, because I've been there, it happened to me, and my story is different to those that get splashed in the media.
