JethroTull Posted January 13, 2009 Share Posted January 13, 2009 For me, it's a bit irritating. There is a guy who shares my name and has a like named domain. He is an artist, teaches his trade at a university and makes really interesting art. I don't want to be specific, because the art is a bit unusual and I don't want anybody knowing my real name. Anyway, when you google my name you are deluged with pages of stuff about this guy, where you can buy his stuff, his personal site, friends of his, etc, etc. It's almost impossible to find anything about me. It can be abbreviated as Cindy. Cynthia was originally an epithet of the Greek goddess of the moon, Artemis, who was sometimes called "Cynthia" because, according to legend, the goddess was born on Mount Cynthus. A comment I made about a deceased (really great) professor showed up. 4. A comment/question I asked about my old digital camera 5. A comment/question about a lawn tool that I made on amazon. Bustle In My Hedgerow Posted January 15, 2009 Share Posted January 15, 2009 1) A youtube video of a girl with my formal first name and my last name singing karaoke.. she's pretty good, too. 2) Some Topix posts some troll that stalked me on another site made using my real name.. it's a long story but this troll even went to far as to use pictures of me as her own and deface them, using my name.. bad memories 3) A 'Nip/Tuck' fanlisting site 4) Some posts I made on Ancestry.com message boards 5) LZ-related petitions/guestbooks galore 6) A pdf file of the school newspaper from my senior year of highschool in which I was voted most fashionable .. a lot more, some about me and some about other people with my name..
