Sort of a sequel to his first memoir "Waging Heavy Peace", this one more about the cars and dogs in his life.

I just picked up a book about Saxons, Vikings and Celts for 99 cents at the thrift store.

I always read two at once, one fiction and one non fiction, so any given night I can read what suits my mood.

Currently reading Jordan Peterson's new book, which I'd highly recommend to any other young man. He is an impressively deep thinker and speaks his truths, and is clearly incredibly well read and researched. Plan to follow this up with Modern Man in Search of a Soul.

Also reading The Dispossessed by Ursula Le Guin. This is after just finishing The Left Hand of Darnkess and greatly enjoing it. That said, I'm already enjoying The Dispossessed even more. She is very quickly becoming an all-time favorite of mine. Plan to follow this up with Dune.

A corrective to what the fear-mongers in government and the media would have you believe.

Simultaneous reading these three, depending on my mood.

In 2016, I read a lot on World War I, in 2017 World War II. This year I am revisiting the Vietnam War.

Dispatches, a great read, borrowed that one from a friend in about 1976/77.

That's about the same time I first read it. I was a freshman in high school.

The former Prime Minister of Israel. Obviously, this is his side of the story but you do get a sense of the difficulties Israel has faced navigating the problems they face in the Middle East. Especially dealing with Yasser Arafat, who comes off as an idiot who had a failure of nerve during the Camp David Summit in 2000 that doomed the Palestinians. Whether it is Arafat, Hamas, the Palestinian Authority, the Palestinians have a knack for picking the worst leaders. Which is why people are tired of their whining and ridiculous stone-throwing antics. Even the Arab countries didn't say a peep in support of the Palentinians during the recent Gaza protests. To this day, after all the bleating about the poor Palestinians, Jordan remains the only Arab country in the Middle East that allows Palestinians citizenship.

I put down the science book a month ago because it took too much energy to fully understand. I should restart reading it in a few months.
