Babs
How's it going everyone? I hope that everyone's Monday has been a very happy one. As for me, today was one hell of a first day as supervisor in my unit. The problem wasn't me assisting my co-workers and leading them with making the right and proper decisions. Nor was it the great pot luck and my subordinates with very happy faces that helped make my day better than it usually is. The problem went very deep, I just wished that my former supervisor would have been happy and takened it like a man rather than show the display of behavior that he demonstrated in front of everyone throughout our whole building. I can't say anything bad about my former supervisor, had it not been for him, I would have never completed my knowledge and became the complete supervisor that all of my subordinates knew that I could be. I just feel so hurt inside because after everything we went through, he would just throw it all away and turn on all of us, mainly me. I saved him from being terminated on three different occasions when upper management really wanted to terminate him. As his lead clerk, I was there for him on many occasions when he was about to fall apart. He confided in me on many occasions when it was extremely hard for him to open up to anyone else at work. My former supervisor and I once had a pretty good working relationship. I also admit, my former supervisor saved my ass a few times when upper management was pissed at some of the things that I did to win many cases. After all of these years and all of the time and hard work that was spent and invested in our unit, our friendship has to come to an end just because he does not want to work under me as a subordinate. As a result of his unprofessional behavior, upper management has chose to transfer him to another unit in another building. After my former supervisor left, there were claps and cheers for me when all I really wanted to do was break down. My subordinates all gave me a pat on the back and told me to let it go and lets move forward. They also stressed how much that they need my guidance which really made me feel good. They are all right, this is our time now, it is my responsibility as their supervisor in leading and assisting them in making the proper decisions when they are analyzing very important accounts. I now realize that many people are now counting on as well as believing in me to always be there for them and I promised them that I would do my very best in doing that. All in all, it was a much better day thanks to the undying support of my subordinates. They knew what kind of day that this was going to be. ROCK ON FOREVER everyone! I'd be pissed too! The guy calls in sick and you throw parties everyday and have playtime with your co-workers and basically turn everyone against him.He get's healthy and comes back to work and now you're his new boss? Played him for the fool you did.....We just get your Utopian workplace stories when really you probably threw the poor bastard under the bus ROCK ON !!!! WOW, you must be a good ass kisser because it was anything but what you just said! It wasn't my fault that I was hired as the new manager! Tell that to upper management, they were the ones that made that decision, not me! You must be one of those types that blame things on people when its not even their fault. I resent what you said! ~tangerine~
Oh yes! I'll be playing it after dinner tonight. I love "Echoes"! , Jo "Echoes" has been my favorite Pink Floyd song for at least twenty five years (with Sheep in second place). I can still remember playing my "Meddle" LP many years ago. I might still have it. Almost everyday you fall Upon my waking eyes, Inviting and inciting me To rise. And through the window in the wall Come streaming in on sunlight wings A million bright ambassadors of morning. And no one sings me lullabyes And no one makes me close my eyes So I throw the windows wide And call to you across the sky....

Was floored when I saw David Gilmour in concert a couple of years ago and he played it.
C0mmunicati0nBreakd0wn
My sister and mom went to Publix to go buy our Halloween Horror Nights tickets! I just can't believe that we're actually going this Thursday, and i'm glad its with alot of people! Its just so weird, like I have the ticket, so now its like guaranteed, its a weird happy feeling! Once you have that ticket, its like proof! (But now that I do have one, i'm getting nervous and hope I don't get scared out of my wits !) BUCK'EYE' DOC
I heard Stairway to Heaven on Sirius/XM Radio 14 while driving to work this morning and Whole Lotta Love while driving home tonight. Perfect timing! My drive to work took exactly as long as Stairway from beginning to ending, as it started as I pulled out of my driveway and ended when I pulled into my parking lot at work. ZeppFanForever
What made me happy today? Today is a new day and it is starting out really well. My subordinants are throwing another potluck, it is going to be another filling day. In case that you're wondering, my unit still has the highest production out of 40 other units despite having all of the potlucks. I guess that my unit is setting a new trend because many other units are throwing potlucks now. I swear, my whole section now looks like a buffet, we're all going into each other's unit and looking at all of the food. The whole building smells like food. Take care, have a great day and ROCK ON FOREVER everyone.
