SuperDave
That's a surprise. Did such great work with Led Zeppelin and others. I think The Who and The Stones, if I'm correct. I'm sure someone here will publish the artists he worked with. What a great loss and so sad, when we lose an icon! Obviously, my questioned has been answered above! Great work 2bit...! How old was Andy? Edited April 8, 2013 by SuperDave
Bayougal65
Sad news!!! What a tragic loss! He leaves such a huge, varied and celebrated catalog of work! Rest in peace, Mr Johns.
GottaFindMyGirl
How old was Andy? Apparently 61, according to Wikipedia, though I don't know how credible they are on that kind of thing...Still way too young to go out, he's leaving such a great and massive body of work behind. Nutrocker
Not much to add to what has already been said...Andy Johns knew his way around a recording console. He will be missed.
badgeholder
One of the all time greats. He played a vital role in the creation of Zeppelin's masterpieces. I always loved this clip, where he casually shares nugget after nugget of recording wisdom. RIP Andy, you were one of my heroes
Rock Action
RIP Andy Johns, your contributions to music will live forever. I can't say much more than this. It's a horribly sad day in music today.
FireOpal
He was 61. This article in Billboard is a nice tribute: http://www.billboard.com/articles/news/1556599/celebrated-british-record-producer-andy-johns-dead-at-61 Side note: I didn't know Evan Johns was his son! Remember Evan Johns & the H-Bombs? No? They rocked. I assumed they were Americans.

Disco Duck
He doesn't look well in this photo, I'm assuming he was ill. I see from his discography that he was still working as late as last year. What a legacy he compiled. He worked on some of best albums in the genre.
