For My Life
It doesn't make a huge difference to me as I own all the LZ catalog anyway, although I am a Spotify subscriber. I just hope that they take the trouble to name all the tracks properly when they're uploaded to Spotify. It's amazing how sloppy and inconsistent the record companies are sometimes. I've even seen spelling mistakes in the names of tracks and albums on Spotify, or the name of a band spelled two different ways!
DropDown
I own the whole LZ catalog as well on various formats and you're right about getting names correct; this also happens on iTunes - I have albums from both "Yardbirds" and "The Yardbirds"! Starting today, the catalogue is being released in chronological order over the course of the week. Play now: http://spoti.fi/LedZep
Melcórë
Seeing as I live in Canada and get my music through other means, the significance of this deal is somewhat lost on me.

Elderer
Are these going to be versions we have atm or those that are/were remixed for upcoming box sets?!
Melcórë
Are these going to be versions we have atm or those that are/were remixed for upcoming box sets?! "Remastered," not "remixed." I'm asking a friend who has access to the service to compare with the Mastered for iTunes release from last year.
chillumpuffer
Yes only 1 & 2 at the moment of which I have the vinyl. It will be interesting to hear the difference in quality, although I bet the Vinyl still sounds the best. I am a subscriber, a bargain at £4.99 monthly. Led Dirigible
i have no idea what spotify is .....It is an online on demand music streaming service. TLIL
It is an online on demand music streaming service. For a monthly fee, users can listen to any of the songs within Spotify's catalog.https://www.spotify.com/http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Spotify & they can download too & yes, all the credits & artist detail & the music itself is far from a priority. yes, there has to be new tech & new music delivery methods as time goes on, but it MUST support existing music & nurture new music creation life is not a free for all. orgs & mindsets like spotify, see it as such & make money (a LOT!) out of advertising. did you enjoy the ads on your old vinyl LP? as you sat there and lost yourself in the music and artwork? Deborah J
Several videos are already on you tube. A friend called me about this. For those who like this it's great, but I still like vinyl and as long as I have albums and a good turntable and sound system that is my choice of how I listen to music. http://youtu.be/8-bqtSsB-2o
truth and beauty
Arrgh ! This will take me a little time ... ! So 1) Led Zeppelin are on Spotify 2) Spotify is now on mobiles which is a promising feature 3) My neighbour has mastered listening to new music on Spotify and another friend also swears by it. I have therefore finally signed up. First thing is I get an awful cover version of The Ocean Next, Trampled Underfoot - somehow sourced from my own collection on itunes (HOW?) .. Well, onwards... I'd better make it work. Not going to bed till I've heard Dazed and Confused !
truth and beauty
Ooh ok now I've done it. Listening to Good Times Bad Times. Sounds the same as it always does but somehow very exciting... If you can listen to the same thing on a new medium and get a buzz from it, how good will it be when those box sets come out ???
yialison
Well, I'm a Korean, and I have my own online streaming service, but from what I have read people have been complaining for years for the absence of LZ songs on spotify. So, congratulations,
Bayougal65
I just hope this might introduce Led Zeppelin's vast and varied catalog to those who might not know them. I am always especially excited to hear of people younger than me digging on the best band ever!
henrybonzo
I had all my cds pinched so this is handy, I have already paid for the albums and i pay 9.99 a month so it's not really free, in the long run I have spent more on spotify than actual albums
For My Life
Okay, the first four albums are up and as I expected I have a minor gripe! The two tracks that contain brackets in their titles ('Hats Off To (Roy) Harper' and 'Living Loving Maid (She's Just A Woman)') have been uploaded with square [ ] brackets in the titles instead of round ( ) brackets as they should be. Is it too much to ask for the record company to get this right?
