Your Favorite American Actors...

I will start, since I created this topic: in no particular order:

Bobby DeNiro

Al Pacino

Bryan Cranston

Jimmy Gandolfini

Jimmy Woods

Paul Newman...

Excellent list KingZoso. Al Pacino will always be at the top for me because of Scarface, but given his recent success (ahem), right now I am digging Bryan Cranston a LOT.

It’s funny, yesterday afternoon I was just about to post Vincent Price, as I was looking on you tube for a clip, you beat me to it….LOL

here is one of my Vincent Price favs, a clip from The Haunted Palace, at the very end of this clip he quotes Poe :

"And travellers, now, within that valley,
Through the red-litten windows see
Vast forms that move fantastically
To a discordant melody"

Daniel Day Lewis is English, Liam Neeson is Irish.

Maybe you misread the thread topic title.

Mel Gibson was pretty good, till he went a bit do-lally

Or was he a Aussie come to mention it?

For some reason I think he was born in White Plains NY

Correction......I just checked, he was born in Peekskill NY, ( I grew up about 5 miles from there)

Cary Grant is on my Mount Rushmore of American actors, along side Humphrey Bogart. For me, Arsenic and Old Lace is my favorite Cary Grant performance ever. In the scene he realizes it was his two little old aunts who killed a man and hid the dead body in the window seat.

We watched 'East Of Eden' last night and Raymond Massey has always been one of my favorite actors (even though he was born in Canada). That's why he played a perfect part in 'The 49th Parallel' amongst other great roles.
