Anjin-san Posted February 6, 2014 Posted February 6, 2014 jb, you're spot on. A damn IOC official admitted that billions of dollars had been embezzled by Russian officials...the whole affair is a bad joke. And the world just stands by and smiles... You forgot one thing, the IOC lines it's own pockets. Quote
Melcórë Posted February 6, 2014 Posted February 6, 2014 They do, but they haven't admitted that part. The fact that they're so open about how bad it is in Sochi is mind-boggling to me. Quote
Walter Posted February 6, 2014 Posted February 6, 2014 Russia is just a HUGE organized crime "family"..... Quote
Charles J. White Posted February 6, 2014 Posted February 6, 2014 Money, that's what the IOC cares about. It's what we all care about - you remind me of me when I was 16 arguing with my older cousin about higher ideals Quote
Anjin-san Posted February 6, 2014 Posted February 6, 2014 Sure when amateurs were allowed in the OG. Quote

FireOpal Posted February 7, 2014 Posted February 7, 2014 I just read that the pseudo-lesbian duo Tatu will be part of the opening ceremonies. Way to class it up, Russkies. Quote

Now that Dick Button is gone, I might even watch some figure skating this time around. Be careful what you wish for. Scott Hamilton's screeching might make you change your mind. I assume you'll be cheering for Michigan's Davis and White? They are wonderful. Quote

Anjin-san Posted February 8, 2014 Posted February 8, 2014 Sage Kotsenburg tamed the treacherous slopestyle course at the Extreme Park on Saturday, grabbing the first gold medal of the Sochi Olympics. And he did it with a run that left the 20-year-old American who talks like a surfer and rides like a purist momentarily stunned in disbelief. Quote
zepscoda Posted February 8, 2014 Posted February 8, 2014 The Women's Canadian hockey team is destroying the Swiss....4-0 in the 2nd. Quote

But I already laid 4 goals in their next match. And I took Russia, Canada and US in a parlay in their first game. That teams figure skating that just finished, hell, that Canadian woman was ass kicking hot. Smokin!!!! Quote
