It was an internal/eternal struggle for him, as it is for so many! Sir Elton John once married a woman in a vain attempt to "cure" himself!. When he died, Freddy left Mary his beloved cats and a large part of his estate. I'm straight,but fully realise that the Entertainment Industry would be A Very, Very, Very,much poorer place without our gay friends. Sorry for being off topic!. EDIT: Oh.... I Just saw the poll!. As you might be able to tell, I love Queen. I believe they were the "Best Singles Band" in the world between 1973 and 1991. but many of their albums were less than pleasing when taken as a whole. Zeppelin fans can do the same. I am sure if this reached more in England, we would be blowing them away. I have posted it on several sites so if you know of any others, do the same. 4urlife Posted January 4, 2008 Share Posted January 4, 2008 Robert and Freddie... now that will be a close race. To be honest, I'm not really sure who I think is better between these two. I really like Robert's voice, especially from the early years. But Freddie had such an incredible range up to the very end. I'll have to think on that one a bit before the voting begins. Best band... I voted for LZ. I can see how it would be a close race with Queen though. Queen wasn't really all that popular in the US, but they were HUGE pretty much everywhere else. As for how the best guitar voting is going so far... something definitely seems fishy about that. I would hardly think that Brian May is better than a lot of the other guitarists on the list. Just be happy in the knowledge that despite the rise in the UK charts of what is termed "R n B" these days, rock is by far the biggest seller overall. So i hear (please correct me if you know better) Also, i might soon be able to get one of my mates into zep. This guy is "lights out" and can play any style with any one.
