jaimerosario
IMHO - I like some songs that if Led Zeppelin would cover live in their prime, would rock: 1. Hey Joe (using the cover made by Plant) 2. Steam Roller Blues 3. Georgia on my mind (a complete version, damn Page's guitar got fixed so quickly) 4. Goodnight Ireene 5. Come Together 6. Fortunate Song 7. School Days (the soundcheck rocks!) 8. Born under a bad sign 9. The Trill Is Gone 10. While My Guitar Gently Weeps 11. Yer Blues 12. Break on through Go on, pick your list... maybe someday they read this and take some note. Sea Cruise- by Frankie Ford A Little less Conversation- by Elvis I am surprised that I have yet to hear these two tunes in a medley yet! lzfan715
Coo Coo- Janis Joplin. Probably one of my favourite Janis songs and I think Robert's voice would sound really good, and Bonzo on drums would sound just groovy.

Fresh Garbage
Not Elvis and they covered that song. Elvis was in the military when that song came out. It's Gene Vincent. But Elvis did indeed perform this song and record it. I'm really drawing a blank on the show Zeppelin did this in thier medley? I am seeing the bootleg but not the date. I am thinking 70-71 here? this is funny, I just picked up my Concert Files book and opened it at page 95 and sure enough here it is...Monday Febuary 23 1970 Helsinki Finland Kulttuurialo...Quote: the 'How Many More Times' included rendentions of Bukka White's 'Fixin' 'To Die' and Gene Vincent's 'Be-Bop-A-Lula' Edited May 23, 2008 by Fresh Garbage

You are both correct. Gene Vincent originally did the song and Elvis covered it. I believe Zep did do the song. It just seemed like something Robert would sing. It'd be cool for them to do it again (in it's entiretly, though). R
NickZepp
Gene Vincent's version is the popular version. I think Elvis was in the Army the time that was released but I'm not 100% sure. Elvis may have covered it but the popular version is Vincent's version.

Great playing and solo by Page on this song. Guitar is very clear, but unfortunately Robert's vocals aren't.
The Rover
I'd to hear some Rocking versions of Christmas themed songs as performed by Led Zeppelin: Carol of the Bells Anywasy... Led Zeppelin could kick Manheim Steamrollers arse!
softray
Lets take it another step: 1. Welcome to the Jungle 2. Sweet Child of Mine 3. Oh Darling 4. You Can Leave Your Hat On 5. Space Oddity 6. Any King Crimson Song! 7. Lucky Man 8. Plant doing the girl's vocal in Pink Floyd's the Big Gig in the Sky 9. Magic Carpet Ride 10. Inagoddadavida (forgive the spelling!) docron
8 Miles High by The Byrds I think Zeppelin could make this alot more dark and grungy. I'm invisioning a mixture of Immigrant Song and No Quarter or something. Yes, a quick riff like that of Immigrant Song or Communication Breakdown, in accordance with Plant's all out banshee-ness of 1971, would turn this song into something else. docron
Stairway to Heaven. Wait... No no, it was a good idea, lets run with it... I'm thinking, nice slow introduction... building and building all the sudden the drums kick in... then the epic solo... nah, it'd never work for them... better try something else. Footsteps of Dawn
1. Who Do You Love? 2. Back Door Man 3. Sweet Little Angel 4. Take Me to the River Oh, I'd totally love to see them do Back Door Man! The Doors' rendition is fantastic, but just think what a howl 'n' wail Robert and Jimmy could raise on that song. Heck yeah! I want to see them play J.J. Cale's Call Me the Breeze, but in a style more similar to the Lynyrd Skynyrd version. Though I'm thinking slowed down, funked up (but preserving the swaggery shuffle of the Skynyrd version) in order to really let Bonzo and Jones crash away at it and to let Robert really hold out the long notes and get down and dirty like he does on Heartbreaker. Yeah, somewhat in the vein of that song and The Ocean. Sounds like a good time to me. Edited June 13, 2008 by Footsteps of Dawn

Virginia
I like the Skynyrd idea; a southern rock/jam band/improv thing would be great. I bet Robert could do his magic on "Sweet Melissa" & "Dixie Chicken" too.
