SIBLY Posted July 9, 2008 Posted July 9, 2008 If Abba & Queen can do it (as well as Boy George, Madness & The Smiths) and Waters is apparently doing it to The Wall what about a Led Zep musical? To ridiculous for words? Probably, but I bet a lot of us would go and see it irrelevant of what ever reviews it got. Quote
lzfan715 Posted July 9, 2008 Posted July 9, 2008 I can't really see Zep as a musical, but I'd see it. there is a Janis musical and it's supposed to be really good. Zep just doesn't seem very into that stuff. Quote
lucyinthesky Posted July 9, 2008 Posted July 9, 2008 Can't imagine that. Musicals are so...easy and mainstream. They all might be good music, but Tommy is the only on I actually like. I prefer to watch the true Zep! Quote
lzfan715 Posted July 9, 2008 Posted July 9, 2008 I love Tommy! I like Across The Universe too, but that's different. Quote

They've tried a couple of times to do it using Beatles songs and the shows flopped. Pop or rock songs don't always make for great musicals. Quote
SunChild Posted July 9, 2008 Posted July 9, 2008 Maybe if they didn't mind an NC-17 rating... Off topic, but - are there movie ratings systems comparable to America's in other countries? Quote
SuperDave Posted July 9, 2008 Posted July 9, 2008 Maybe if they didn't mind an NC-17 rating... Off topic, but - are there movie ratings systems comparable to America's in other countries? I'd go see it just as long as Lori Maddox and Pamela Des Barres are two of the charachters featured. What I want to know is who or whom will play the mud shark(s)? Quote
TelecasterShaggy Posted July 9, 2008 Posted July 9, 2008 I love Tommy! I like Across The Universe too, but that's different. Across Th Universe is really cool. Quote
dpat Posted July 9, 2008 Posted July 9, 2008 (edited) If Abba & Queen can do it (as well as Boy George, Madness & The Smiths) and Waters is apparently doing it to The Wall what about a Led Zep musical? Maybe they could call it: "Wanton Songs," "D'yer Mak'er??" "Southbound Soirees" "Squeez Me Lemon Songs" "B-b-b-boogie With Zep" "The Crunge" It'd be funny as all hell seeing an recreation of Mr. Grant exploding backstage for the "silly c#@%" episode in TSRTS. Riverside Bluesman Posted July 9, 2008 Posted July 9, 2008 What I want to know is who or whom will play the mud shark(s)? I got some great reviews for my role as Second Tree in the school play when I was eight, so I suppose I could manage a fishy part. When are the auditions ? Put me on the list. Quote

lzfan715 Posted July 9, 2008 Posted July 9, 2008 Across Th Universe is really cool. It's my second favourite movie, after Alice's Restaurant. Quote
SIBLY Posted July 10, 2008 Author Posted July 10, 2008 The Abba & Queen musicals aren't about the artists. They are fictional storys written around a selection of the artists' songs. Quote
lucyinthesky Posted July 10, 2008 Posted July 10, 2008 (edited) The Abba & Queen musicals aren't about the artists. They are fictional storys written around a selection of the artists' songs. Whoa man! A fictional story to LZ music AND lyrics. Doesn't sound like something my parents would let me watch... And Sunchild, what do you mean with movie rating systems? When kids are allowed to watch? In Germany, we've got a kind of that, but when you are 12, you're allowed to see nearly anything (except for horror and porno movies of course ) Edited July 10, 2008 by lucyinthesky Quote

In Germany, we've got a kind of that, but when you are 12, you're allowed to see nearly anything (except for horror and porno movies of course ) Yes, that's it... ratings to keep children out of "inappropriate" movies. G = General, all ages; PG = Parental Guidance, perhaps not appropriate for some children; PG-13 = Parental Guidance, not appropriate for children under 13; R = restricted, under 17 must be accompanied by an adult; NC-17 = no one under 17 admitted. Of course kids can watch anything on the 'net... Quote
zosodude13 Posted July 13, 2008 Posted July 13, 2008 the closest thing to a LZ musical I would see would be a LZ version of the Beatles' Love it would be interessting and cool to see what would get mixed together Quote
Tangerine68 Posted July 16, 2008 Posted July 16, 2008 I think musicals are too gay. I think it would be insulting to see a Zeppelin musical Quote
