  1. The guy who gave me the shot said the reaction(s) depend on your immune response. If you have a decent response (essentially getting COVID for 24+ hours) that means you have a strong immune system. If you have little to no reaction from the second shot a person my have a weakened immune system or be immune-compromised. Woke up this morning and feeling much better. Arm is no longer sore, all symptoms are gone except for slight fatigue.
  2. Ugh, got the second Moderna vaccine yesterday at 10am. All was good until around 8pm when shit started to get real, that is, real bad. My upper arm feels like its been hit with a baseball bat, but that's really the least of it. I had a light meal at 8pm and I almost threw it up. So I decided to go to bed around 10pm and that is when it REALLY hit me. I got the chills so bad, I was shaking so violently I actually thought I might fracture a rib, it was horrible. That all stopped (thank god) around midnight but then the body ache and lethargy set in with a nice side of insomnia. BTW, I NEVER get insomnia. My wife & family have always joked I could fall asleep standing up but not this time. I would maybe doze off for about 10 minutes at best. Good news is I did sleep most of today and I am starting to feel better and hoping to be back to 100% by tomorrow. This was a real ballbuster, have not been this sick since my 20's and I am in my 50's.
  3. What? No way. Are you sure they blew Jose Feliciano off stage? I mean, Jose is a tough act to follow:
  4. You got that right, another fantastic player who was ahead of his time, and gone way before his time.
  5. This is why I place Prince in my top five guitarists in rock. Dude can improvise and construct complex yet extremely melodic solos live while taking the listener on a journey of pure emotion set to music.
  6. This is prime Siouxsie, the "1972" period for the Banshees. This and Live in Cologne 1981 are two of my top 10 favorite live albums. 81' is more raw and ballsy but 83' has a better setlist and Siouxsie in prime voice. Eve White Eve Black and Voodoo Dolly alone make 83' a real cracker.
  7. That is a very un-woke comment there Kip Those lousey scallywags'!!! The announcements in Spanish I simply do not understand the necessity. If I go to Mexico I would not expect anything to be in English because, its Mexico.
  8. Though it sounds fast and it is, it does not sound sped up as Robert's voice is in typical key and tone for ALS. I would say this version should be re-named ALS and the Cocaine Express.
  9. Just imagine Muskrat Love, Sentimental Lady, or Cool Change done ala Zeppelin 77'
  10. RIP Shock G, one of the most underrated musicians and producers in music. The man introduced the world to Tupac yet was a classically trained musician who originally taught himself how to play piano before going to school for music. Shock G was the Donald Fagan of Hip Hop, combining jazz, funk, rock, and rap and producing some of the best hip hop music of the late 80's early 90's.
  11. Pretty spot on, though his drumming for TCV was rather impressive, especially compared to his other stuff.
  12. This is not really a "new" vaccine as this has been in the works for over 10 years as part of a vaccine for SARS of which COVID is a variant.
  13. Wow, I thought he had passed years ago. He really kept quiet post-politics. Always thought he was a pretty good guy. A solid guy.
  14. Jimmy and Jonesy were mates going back to the session days as they frequently played together. It was Jimmy who wanted Jones for LZ due to their relationship and mutual respect. From all indications they all got along quite well until the end of the American tour in 77'. Though I can somewhat see Jimmy as feeling a bit inferior to Jones as Jones was a classically trained musician and multi-instrumentalist. If you have had the pleasure of seeing JPJ live from 94'-2001' you would see a player more than capable of holding his own with a guitar and as good as Jimmy or Beck or a number of others insofar as guitar skill is concerned. Jones was like Prince regarding his talent, just less demanding. It was also Jones who did a good chunk of the arranging and coming up with all those brilliant time and key changes within the songs. I think just about any professional musician is in awe of Jones and somewhat intimidated.
  15. Just out! I read an article regarding cannabis smoke & COVID-19 and the effects of the cannabis on the COVID-19 virus. It appears in early testing that people who smoked a small to moderate amount of weed (flower only, study did not include vape or other delivery methods) were protected against the pulmonary symptoms of COVID. The weed did not prevent people from getting COVID or experiencing the host of other symptoms, but it did stop the COVID from infiltrating the lungs and causing pulmonary distress or or other lung symptoms. As most people who die from COVID die as a result of pulmonary failure one would think this would be all over the news. Nope, not a peep. I just happened to stumble upon an article. All that being said it could be because this trial has not been duplicated and is currently under peer review. Possibly once the study is duplicated and fully peer reviewed there will be an announcement however I find it strange no news of this has been released yet all the other possible "cures" they touted early on in fact wound up doing nothing or little to nothing. Hmmmm.
  16. I was surprised when I got the vaccine as I felt nothing. I believe they are using a special type of diabetes needle for the vaccine. Then the sore arm started the next day and lasted for about 36 hours. That was it. I figured its the Gates / Soros microchip embedding itself in my muscle tissue. Those rascals!
  17. Kinda like how Mick Ronson never contributed anything to Bowie's songs. I never said Grohl was part of the songwriting, rather he took what Kurt brought and smoothed much of it out. Have you heard the shite Nirvana did pre-Grohl joining? It sounds like utter noise, just horrible.
  18. F-ing Southies, those hooligans ruin everything.
  19. It would not surprise me one bit if in five year time the tech has evolved to where you can take a vocal of Robert from say Montreal 1975, run it through a processor which has Robert's voce samples from 70'-71', and come back with Montreal 1975 having a 71' era Robert vocal applied to the contemporary songs. Maybe cheating but it would be cool as hell.
  20. I think Grohl a talented musician and he seems a genuinely nice guy, but the fact is Grohl was integral to Nirvana. Kurt was writing neo-punk exclusively before Dave came around to even out the sound with hooks and some semblance of melody. It was Grohl wo essentially made Nirvana commercial (good or bad is for the individual to decide). Grohl was also writing tons of his own music and likely would have left Nirvana in 95' anyway to do his own thing. I love Tori Amos song Professional Widow which is about Courtney. I mean...ouch!
  21. Possibly overkill but draconian? I suggest you look up the definition of draconian because your interpretation is a bit off.
  22. or by people who have been harassed for no reason repeatedly. Then again some people have no problem at all with others who abuse their power and deny law abiding citizens their rights. I have never broken any law outside of speeding and the last time I was legitimately pulled over by a cop was in 1991 for going 65 in a 55. Now from 1992 - 1999 when I had long hair I was CONSTSTNLY pulled over by the cops, had my vehicle searched while I was handcuffed on the side of the road and the cops making cheeky comments while searching my vehicle. The whole time I was polite and accommodating. I have been tackled by cops when I was in HS because I fit the description of a local drug dealer and as the cops told me after they checked my id and saw I was not the guy, "well, we are in out 40's and can't run like we used to so, too bad." It sounds like you never had these issues and good for you Crying, but just because a cop hassles someone does not make them guilty. I guess you failed your classes on government and the rule of law however such courses are available both on-line and at your local community college.
  23. IMO the cops should have let the locals who caught him to beat him to death. Save the taxpayers some money.
