tsaeb eht Posted July 15, 2011 Share Posted July 15, 2011 Robert plant will not sing stairway to heaven and some other songs .. why is he so frighten is it because of bonham's death and the events that took place around that time .. is there a real secret to there songs as i once heard from a famous artist thay sing and dance yet they don't know what thay are saying . was page on another level than the rest of the band . was black magik in full force . i had been told as a youngster by a witch the spirits love zeppelin . what is your whole thought on this .. true or false ... He sang it at the O2 in 2007. He's not afraid to sing it, it just doesn't resonate with him anymore which is fair enough. Many people don't feel the same way today as they did 40 years ago. Just out of curiosity, how do you really know that Led Zeppelin were not Satanic? I am not saying that I think they were, but how do you really know? Even if they were and Jimmy Page actually came out today and said, Yes, I was/am a Satanist and have practiced Black Magick, would it really matter at this point? Would you (or anyone else) for that matter all of a sudden stop listening to Led Zeppelin? I know that I would not. I love Led Zeppelin for the tremendous body of Music They have given the World. I actually do not care what religion(s) they may or may not have practiced. By the way, electrophile, your trademark is usually to reply to other peoples posts with a snide or sarcastic reply. If you could learn to ease up and really think about what you post before you post, maybe people might ease up on you. Ever think of that? Please provide some evidence of this. All Robert has EVER said that you could remotely connect to this is that when he wrote the lyrics to "Stairway", he felt as if "somebody pushed my pen". Just spotted this bit too - missed it first time. There is no proof that Crowley ever performed human sacrifies, in fact the OTO say - "Crowley never performed or advocated human sacrifice. His much-quoted allusion to frequent "child-sacrifice" (Magick In Theory & Practice, Chapter XII) was a metaphor for a specific practice of sexual magick that did not involve harm to any individual, but diverted the energies of sexuality from physical reproduction to other purposes. The 'child' or 'Bud-Will' that is sacrificed in such a practice is a particular manifestation of the magician's Will, and not a physical, human child. The Greek words "Τὸ Μεγα Θηρίον" (to mega therion) which mean "the great beast" add up to 666 by gematria (also called isopsephy), using the numerical values of the ancient Greek letters. This seems to neatly corroborate the idea that counting the number of the beast means doing gematria calculations. The pattern of numerical values is 1 to 9 for the first 9 letters of the ancient Greek alphabet, 10 to 90 for the next 9, and 100 to 800 for the next 8. They did this because they used letters as numerals to write numbers. Hebrew follows the same numerical pattern. It appears that the Hebrews copied the alphabetic system of writing numbers from the Greeks. Anyway, if we copy the same pattern of numerical values onto the modern English alphabet, we will get an assignment ranging from A=1 to Z=800. And then we can look for possible clues to the meaning of 666 by looking for words or names or phrases that add up to 666.
