azad
Going on a riverboat cruise on the nearby James River, if the weather holds up. Sounds nice. Hope the rain holds off. Today I practiced guitar for 3 hours and then chopped down 3 trees in the backyard as they had to go due to lead contamination in the soil which also has to be removed. I know that chopping down trees by hand -- and even with a chainsaw -- is a lot of work. Removing soil can also be a huge job.
azad
EDIT: Replying to (pagefan55) "Thanks azad. I know that chopping down trees by hand -- and even with a chainsaw -- is a lot of work. Removing soil can also be a huge job." Your welcome. Did the rain hold off? Yeah, was an axe and a saw. I like hard work though. Too a point that is. Give me a shovel and I will dig all day. azad
3 hours is impressive! I'm only a beginner with guitar but I try to do 2 to 4 hours a day. A lot of it is going over and over the same things a lot to try to get them smoother. By the way, Happy belated Birthday for your mum Ddladner. Stairway is NOT stolen
Losing motivation with Guitaring. Wish you luck with that. I have had moments of stagnation by playing the same things over and over when practicing. I have recently discovered creating some of my own stuff as simple as it may be it seems to eliminate the loss of motivation and makes time fly again while practising. Came up with a few chords and (vocal) chanting along which I then realized was borrowed from in my time of dying., Didn't realize it at the time but now I do. Changed it up though so it's not so Zepp but more my own. Let me know how you go with the ' Rocksmith 2014 Edition '.

Strider
Going on a riverboat cruise on the nearby James River, if the weather holds up. Like one of those old riverboats you'd see paddling down the Mississippi in Mark Twain's days? The kind with casino gambling? Hope you had a good trip up and down the river. Nothing but work today. 10am-5pm at one job and then 6pm-12:30am at the other. Holiday is definitely o-v-e-r. Pagefan55
Hi Strider. Yes. It was a paddle boat. But kind of a small, simple one.
