Bong-Man
Went to the optometrist for the first time in 3 years. Bought new glasses and sun glasses, and it was only $800 bucks. That was with decent insurance. Being poor and trying to take care of yourself must be very depressing.

rm2551
Bunnings for some mulch, fertiliser and chook feed, then a ride on the bike since it's a magical 32c outside today. Just got to pick a direction....

"SpecSavers" here offer 2 for one with no gap ( good range of designer frames and the lenses) if you have private insurance which we do - but they then sting you with the "oh you want them polarised?" "oh you want the scratch resistant coating/materials/whatever?" so ends up around a hungie, but that's 2 pairs of glasses/sunnies.
chillumpuffer
@Bong-Man. I would have bought $600 worth of green and $200 on specs

redrum
Taking up the crappy particle board floor from the kitchen. One good thing, it burns hot as hell, just like Presto logs.
Electrophile
Probably some housework. It'll be a good day to get as much of it done as possible.
rm2551
cleaning up and staying inside since it's shit humid overcast/showers weather - as usual. Trying hard to get motivated and get something done since it's Saturday, and failing...
Electrophile
I'm going out to lunch with my sister this afternoon. It's a rare Saturday where neither of us have any chores/errands at our respective domiciles. It won't be anything fancy, just some wings and fries, but any time spent with her is good time, so I'll take it.

paul carruthers
After getting most of my chores done, I no longer have to endure the sweltering heat. I'm indoors enjoying the A/C and hoping to enjoy the Mets doubleheader... 😁 Edited May 21, 2022 by paul carruthers
