Electrophile
Im quite sure Im on her ignore list. Not that I really care. Actually I have a life, so I don't sit around on the internet waiting for your next witticism. Whatever happens, happens. I made no predictions as to the outcome of the game because no one is that stupid.

ally
Wings win 3-1. Booyah. From what I saw on highlites the Wings deserved to win. I watched the Canucks lose to the Sharks tonight and I gotta say, I wasn't all that impressed with San Jose. Not making any excuses but all of the Sharks goals were a result of poor goaltending. If Luongo had been between the pipes I say we would have won that game quite easily. The Sharks still look like they can be had in the playoffs. No intensity or fear of losing about them. slagfarmer
Well it looks like the leafs took another small step in the John Tavares sweepstakes again Go Leads Go!!!
ally
Deserved to win? The Sabres were winning for over 50 mintutes. They led 1-0 til about 6 mintues left. The Wings took the lead with 3 minutes left. I am surprized Conklin played so well in goal. It wasnt their A game but the Sabres played with them all night. Detroit had the luxury of not playing the night before and Buffalo had a shootout with the Rangers. It will be differant in March when they come to our building. I did say from highlites Yukon. Electrophile
Jesus, could you sound more bitter? It's a hockey game for God's sake. Miller played very well, the pressure our forwards put on him just finally got him to crack when we needed it to the most. It happens. The Wings put 48 shots on Miller. The Sabres put barely half that on Conks. You can't score more than 1 goal when you don't get off many shots.
ally
Hey Ally. Give your boys a kick in the pants and tell them to help us out tomorrow by beating the Devils. It'll be a tough game against the Devils. They need to get a win in this home stand so I expect them to come out ready to play. Luongo is supposed to be back next week so the backups are going to have to play well because only one will stay. I'm thinking LaBarera will get the nod tomorrow
The Rover
Dallas over Detroit in OT win 5-4. Two guys left from work to go to this game in their Red Wings jerseys -- all confident and smirky looking..... Can't wait to greet them tomorrow
ally
I read that Luongo is 100 percent ready. Are you sure he wont play tonight? Anyway, my boys are in Chicago tomorrow night and in Dallas the next night. Im sure that Lalime will get the nod against Dallas. Miller tomorrow. Carolina is our next home game on Saturday. Put on your gloves Rorer, whereever you are? Luongo's 100% healthy but has only had two full practices. They may play him as the club needs to get back on track and a win against the Devils would go a long way in doing that. Good luck against the Hawks and Stars. Bring back the glory!!! Go Leafs Go The Canucks did too. That's 5 straight home games without a win. Horrible goaltending from the backups has really let this team down. Getting Luongo back will be huge but this team has started 09 going in the wrong direction. I get the feeling we'll be looking back at this home stand at the end of the regular season
Black Dawg
The Caps are on a three game Skid. I am hoping they can start thawing out with the Icedbirds tonight. This can be the prelude to Steel town's swansong in a loss to the Ravens Sunday.
ally
you guys were supposed to help us Ally. We need to help ourselves first Yukon. I really hope this is just our second half skid but there are plenty of teams in the West who could catch us if things don't change quickly. Like a lot of teams, we need a half assed backup goaltender. As for the three that we've used since Luongo went down, I've seen better pond hockey goalies
ally
I am really surprized Vancouver has done as well as they have. I knew they had a great goalie in Luongo but I just questioned their ability to score as Im sure you did entering the season. So it has to be a pleasant surprize that at least they are keeping their heads above water so to speak I was thinking the other day of the only time I saw them live. It was at the old spectrum in Philadelphia when they had those brown and gold uniforms back in 1985. They lost the game 8-4 and I was the only damn fool there cheering for Vancouver. Needless to say, I was escorted from the premises in a drunken state. We invade Chicago tonight. I eat Blackhawks for breakfast!!!!! Yes I am suprised that they are a scoring team as Vigneault has alway's had a defensive approach to the game. Prior to this homestand ,most Canuck fans were realistic about staying near the .500 mark with Luongo out. They had done remarkably well in doing so but the way they have lost these last few games has thrown a real wrench into that theory. Scoring goals is not the problem. Letting in bad goals is As for those old uniforms, the less said about those the better

ally
I like the original the best. they have kind of gone back to them as a third jersey at least. I like the brown and gold with the V better than the blue ones with the Killer whale. I dont like that one. I actually like Buffalo's new Gold ones. I have my own jersey but its the old blue and gold road jersey. The black and red ones werent bad but looks lilke they are gone. We need to win in either Chicago or Dallas tonight or tomorrow. I hope both. I have heard that Lalime may play tonight. I dont know what Lindy is doing. I guess he has family there. Vanek, Roy and Pommenville must come through for us. If this kid Ellis does too its a bonus. We were going on a run til that game in Detroit. Never good to have to play in Detroit with no rest and catching them rested. We had them on the ropes and let them off the hook. But we can play with anyone when we show up. And show up we must from here on out. Both of our teams are in the playoffs right now. Long way to go. Another 40 games. Yeah, there is a long way to go but losing streaks can become habit forming and too many of those are fatal in this league. It's one thing to have to win 50 - 60% of your remaining games but 60 - 70% is a huge task.

ally
They say the Buffalo locker room was very loud after the game. A win that could bring them together. They just outskated and outshot and outplayed Dallas big time after being down 3-0. It was a great comeback. You dont see comebacks in hockey that often when a team is down 3-0 and 4-2 in the second period. Yeah Im happy. Damn happy. And Carolina comes to town tomorrow night. Has there been a Rorer sighting lateley? It was a great comeback and win for the Sabres. My Canucks need a win just like it. I don't know how anyone can blame the Sundin signing but many are pointing out that we have only won 4 of 16 since the day he joined. Personally I think that is a lame opinion and having watched the last 4 games, I have to say they look tired and slow. Very bad defensive mistakes have cost us a lot of goals. They need to get the finger out quickly or this season is going to be a write off
Juliet
Hey Juliet, wherever you are. Thanks to the Leafs! They are laying the lumber on Carolina 4-1! Thanks for the help. We need it. Dallas is up on our butts 2-0. With Pittsburgh losing 9 of their last 11 and Carolina falling flat on their faces it keeps us in good shape. But we have to wake up. Not easy to play two nights in a row after flying from Chicago to Dallas and Dallas being rested, but that is life. Stafford has had two penalties and Dallas scored on both. I have posted for the Sabres to trade his ass. I have had it. Time for our GM to get his ass moving. Yukon: You are wondering where I am? Ohhhh how sweet.....I have been busy working, keeping warm and celebrating the Leafs win...unfortunately they couldn't please me again last night but one win is better then none... You have youeself a super weekend in Buffalo cheering on your team GO LEAFS GO
