MHD
Wow, Nech...just spent a wonderful 15 minutes perusing your amazing photos. They really are special..thanks for the link. I really loved the action Jimmy shot from Rock and Roll, and of course you, Jason and young Jager. That envious feeling is with me once again
Pb Derigable
First off, i would hate to stand for a whole concert. that would suck. ledded1
Here is an aerial view of Trentham Gardens in Stoke on Trent where Zep played on 14th March 1971 and Jan 15th 1973. The ballroom is the large building on the centre right of the pic. Its not there anymore but the ornamental gardens remain.

They were shooting a movie or TV show by the Fillmore Holy crap, I had no idea the Boston Tea Party is home to ATLAS now. God that place sucks! mikezep61
I walked by the old Fillmore East and Madison Square Garden today. They were shooting a movie or TV show by the Fillmore Holy crap, I had no idea the Boston Tea Party is home to ATLAS now. God that place sucks! The old Boston Tea Party is NOT home to Atlas right now. The photo used for the Boston Tea Party was incorrect; it was of the SECOND Boston Tea Party at 15 Lansdowne Street across from Fenway Park. The original Boston Tea Party where Zeppelin played was at 53 Berkeley Street. The move from the original Boston Tea Party to the 2nd Tea Party was made in July 1969 (AFTER Zeppelin played all seven of their Tea Party concerts at the original location at 53 Berkeley Street in January and May 1969). For the record, the building for the original Tea Party still exists and was converted into condos a long time ago. A 7-11 convenience store is also a part of the building. Here's a photo I took last year of the correct Boston Tea Party location at 53 Berkeley Street:
mikezep61
Thanks for putting together a great page of Zep venues. I've been researching the "Houses of the Holy" for years. I took a look through all the venue photos and came up with a list of corrections: - Atlanta Raceway (the picture is of the existing Atlanta Raceway, not the one in Byron, Georgia where the band played) - Berlin Eisporthalle (wrong picture) - Boston Tea Party (the picture is of 15 Lansdowne street, not 53 Berkeley where the original Boston Tea Party was) - Chicago Amphitheatre (the picture is of the new Amphitheatre, not the old INDOOR amphitheatre where Zeppelin played) Dallas Motor Speedway (the picture is of the existing Dallas Motor Speedway, not the one the band played in Lewisville, TX) Gonzaga Gymnasium (wrong picture) Glasgow Apollo & Green's Playhouse are one in the same venue, though it was known as Green's Playhouse when the band played there in 1972. Kyoto Kaikan Hall (not "Kalikan;" wrong picture) London Aeolian Hall (wrong picture; the picture shown is of an Aeolian Hall in London, ONTARIO, not London, England) Fishmongers Hall (wrong picture; the Fishmongers Hall the band played at was a club at 287 High Road, Wood Green; the photo is of the more famous Fishmongers Hall building) Montreux Casino (wrong picture; the picture is of the Montreux Palace Hotel, not the casino) Nagoya Kokaido (wrong picture) Newport Jazz Festival (the picture shown is where the Jazz Festival currently takes place; the original location where the band played is now an Apartment complex) Palais des Sports (wrong picture; the correct venue where the band played is in St. Ouen) Preston Town Hall (wrong picture) Stockholm Konserthuset (wrong picture) Stockholm Tennishallen (wrong picture) Tolworth Toby Jug (the photo of the Toby jug is not the Toby Jug that was in Tolworth) West Allis Exhibition Hall (wrong photo; the band actually played at the Raceway Grandstand as noted in the concert poster) Here's a list of photos that don't really belong on the webpage since the band never played there: Atlanta Municipal Auditorium Chicago Auditorium Denver McNichols Arena Eugene McCarthur Court Flushing Singer Bowl (the band actually played at the NY State Pavilion, not the Singer Bowl) Leeds Town Hall Hammersmith Odeon Queen's Head Pub San Francisco Cow Palace I'm just trying to make the page even better. Hope this helps.

Im sure he needs backups, but backups for the backups. Well he can have as many as he likes. If nothing else they sure look cool sitting on the stage. We used to get to Zeppelin concerts hours before they started just to see the gear. The gear and the venues are a big part of the Zeppelin legacy

Otto Masson
Thanks Nech! That's a wonderful project, and a tremendous service to all of us. Led Zeppelin played in Iceland on June 22, 1970, just about a week before they appeared at Bath for the second time. They played in Laugardalshöllin, which is a sports hall. It was fairly new at the time. Many artists have played there since. I was too young to see LZ in 1970, but I've seen The Stranglers, Deep Purple, Uriah Heep, The White Stripes, Robert Plant and many other artists perform there. Here are some pictures. The first one is from when they were constructing the building. The next one shows the building roughly as it looked when LZ played there: Here you can see how it looks now:
Otto Masson
And finally a few stills from the DVD menu, both outside and LZ playing inside the venue:

Otto Masson
[Whats the name and location of this venue?]|[The architechture is insane - love the large warehouse windows and rounded roof-line] I did say in my first post here, bu anyway, it's called Laugardalshöll, situated in a valley within the city of Reykjavik, Iceland. LZ played there on June 22, 1970. There have been many gigs there over the years. I saw Robert Plant & SS there in 2005. They put something over the windows then, as they usually do, and Robert did make some remarks about them, remembering how they were 35 years earlier. Hotplant
The Terrace Ballroom. Gone but NOT forgotten: 400 So Main St. SLC, UT. The best place for a smaller crowd, my favorite venue growing up through the late 60's and early 70's.
