maven2blue
Joan Sutherland and Luciano Pavarotti-La Travaitta on vinyl. Not sure I spelled that right. I've never bought anything opera before. It was only a dollar and I'm trying to expand my musical horizons so I figured what the hell.

Swede
Since it's my spring break and I'm one of ten people on my college campus to not be traveling anywhere, I went crazy at my local record stores. It's a note as well that I bought my first batch of vinyl records; they're great. Vinyl: Willie Nelson - Red Headed Stranger Bob Dylan - New Morning Gram Parsons - Grievous Angel CD: Tom Waits - Closing Time Neil Young & Crazy Horse - Rust Never Sleeps I wish I could say my first vinyl purchases was Grievous Angel, New Morning and Red Headed Stranger.. Nice start on your vinyl hunt.
The Hammer of the Gods
I wish I could say my first vinyl purchases was Grievous Angel, New Morning and Red Headed Stranger.. Nice start on your vinyl hunt. Thanks. I absolutely adore them. I can already tell that it's going to be an additonal addiction of mine music-wise (as if I didn't buy enough albums way), and I absolutely love the look of vinyl. The art, the size, etc. They look a lot better than CD's. But I am very jealous of your record collection. Some of the stuff I've seen you post is really obscure and stuff and I'm sure what I've seen is just the tip of the iceberg.

It has been for me since I started purchasing records. Vinyl is definitely the best format for music, I think, though I can see some advatages with the digital format as well.. Chicken
I bought Money/Magazine by this band Daggers that supported Gary Numan the other night. They were awesome. I wanted to buy the vinyl really, but I'm making do with the cheaper downloads for now.

Swede
...couldn't help drop by a second hand record shop today on my way home from work. All vinyls. Poco - Deliverin' (live) (1971) Great live album with Jim Messina and Richie Furay from Buffalo Springfield. Fine pedal steel playing by Rusty Young. I highly recomed it for anyone into late 60's/early 70's country rock. Loggins and Messina - Loggins and Messina (1972) Probably most known for the hit "Your mama don't dance". Also featuring Rusty Young on pedal steel. The Souther-Hillman-Furay Band - The Souther-Hillman-Furay Band (1974) Also featuring steel guitarist Al Perkins, drummer Jim Gordon, and Paul Harris on piano. Leon Russell - Leon Live (1973) A 3-record set of great New Orleans rock'n'soul. Pretenders - Pretenders (1979) Fine debut.
