Bill Moyers had an interesting show on voting machines on sunday night,pbs. The dibold voting machines have no paper count, secretive process and possibly going to disenfranchise a million voters. Being that there were so many problems the last couple of elections, there is an organization called -video the vote. They are handing out video cameras and instructions on documenting voting around the country.

well thats what I meant. It was very well documented on the PBS nova series in 1997 that New Orleans was in grave danger. We can also blame the cost cutting of the levees repair before Katrina on the Dems. We can blame the dems for putting low income housing near the ocean. We can blame the Dems in power for turning a blind Eye to the dangers of a Cat 5 hurricane hitting New Orleans and mismanagement of levees.

All I am saying, Kerry would've still flew over 15,000 ft above and Kanye west would still come out saying Kerry does not care about black people.

So i think we can come to the conclusion, Bush was a far better choice than Kerry. We would not be winning in Iraq, Katrina would of happen, and the financial crisis would of hit, possible sooner and harder with Kerry in. and we saw what Clinton did with terrorist, why would gore be any different.

This is one thing I really like about Obama's plans. He's going to kill 2 birds with one stone...upgrade our crumbling infrastructure and create jobs in doing so. THANK YOU OBAMA!!!

This is one thing I really like about Obama's plans. He's going to kill 2 birds with one stone...upgrade our crumbling infrastructure and create jobs in doing so. THANK YOU OBAMA!!!

Yeah, He is going to do infrastructure work that would atleast take 5 years for any job to go into effect. Buy that time, Im pretty sure the Reccesion would be over, or Obama(or McCain) will be out.

All those Jobs will be union appointed (a Dem Voter base). He is also going to give states like Michigan and Illinois money because they keep raising taxes and they keep spending more. By the way, Dems run both of those states and in Illinois, The democrats even point out that the Republican opponent has ties to that Democratic governor of that state.It would be like McCain running a ad that Obama would be carrying out the socialist agenda that Bush has started.

And on top of that, he would be extending Unemployment benefits. Yeah thank you Obama very much. Spend more and tax more. Thats what we need. You people have screamed how the Gov. got twice as big under Bush, but vote for the guy who may double it himself in the first 100 days.

Obama is not spreading the wealth, he is spreading the poverty. More money to failing ideas. More of the same Carter agenda.

Sure, If you want to federalize Infrastructure and Health care, you are a commie. If you want the government to decide where to spend money (bridge to nowhere comes to mind) by including earmarks in bills that have nothing to do with the current bill. Thats being a commie. if you want the government to run health care, you are a commie. We can clearly see that Canada health care, while free, is pretty shitty. Well not free, the tax up there equals more then what we will pay for individual funded health care.

But hey, why should the people of Chicago have to pay for a new expressway, when the government can. Why should the Chicago white sox have to pay for a new stadium, when the taxpayers can.

In this capitalist society, the lower 25% of the people can still have employee paid health care, the most likely pay a car bill, a phone bill and pay rent or a mortgage. In every communist country, where infrastructure and health care is federalized, poor is dirt poor.

Why should the last 100 years of my union fighting for benefits, should be thrown away so we can give 12 million illegals health care. Now Obama says Illegals are not part of his plan, but he still throw around that 49 million people who will get federal health care and everybody agrees that 12 million of that is Illegals immigrants.

Wait, Obama wants to federalize Education, he want to federalize Health Care. He wants more federal funded public works programs. He also supports the fairness doctrine which states all broadcast station (radio and Tv) must have equal time of Conservatives and Liberal views. So tell me what is left that is not control by the government. They already own most of out mortgages and most of the banks. State run power companies are on the raise. More roads a designated state roads.

What does the government does not run. There is talk about federalizing the airlines again.

Im all about the states having more power, but the plumber who lives in Ohio, has a completely different life than the plumber in New York. So why should they be governed under the same rules.

Infrastructure. Chicago has the worst public transportation in the country(all of which under a Dem. Mayor) Chicago has the worst public school system(once again under Dem. Leadership). Why should the guy in Seattle, pay for the mistakes of the leaders of Chicago. Cook county (the county of Chicago) has the highest sales tax and they are so in debt that they may have to sell ads on police cars.

If you want to really improve infrastructure, retool the power grid. Believe me, if you allow the power companies to build a few nukes on their own dime, they replace every wire in the United States for free. The internet need to be fixed, finally come up with a way the government would interact with it and they will fix all the potential problems for free. Google wants to put new servers in Kentucky to speed up the internet, but they need to know if it is going to be useful.
