Finding Led Zeppelin in unrelated places

Lately I had some pleasant surprises with two TV shows I followed:

*in the episode "Shot In The Dark" of HAVEN (S04E11) there was this exchange:

-Hey, guys, come here. I found something. I think it's like a riddle. I just opened the book, and it started glowing.

"In times of great evil, the child of ruin must find the heart of Haven and summon the door.

-Sounds like a creepy zeppelin lyric.

* in the episode "Malice" of STARGATE UNIVERSE (S02E08) there was this:

- It is amazing. Distinct structure in the background radiation.

- That sounds like static to me.

- Were you expecting “Stairway to Heaven”?!

I assume this is the appropriate thread to add this, haven't looked at many posts yet..

Today I went inside a gas station where I live and immediately noticed Zeppelin was playing, I was thinking it was All My Love but then after a minute I realized they were playing Carouselambra. Now I go there a few times a week for the last 10 years and have noticed maybe 2 or 3 Zeppelin songs, but Carouselambra of all songs?!?! My life is now complete.

I've been catching bits of The Immigrant song on tv lately from my peripheral hearing. Not sure what's being advertised; a movie or video game I guess?

^^

I've heard the same thing: I think it's a video game.

:rolleyes::P

Its a video game called Destiny. Melcore posted a trailer on the previous page.

Prepping for an upcoming book event, I was browsing thru 1970s porn star Serena's memoir and amid chapters like "Las Vegas, Whiskey-a-Go-Go, and Van Halen" and "In Love with Cock" I came across this passage:

"One of the best memories about these early teen schooldays was the music. That music is the fleece of comfort on which I can still lay my soul. The Beatles, Crosby, Stills, Nash and Young, James Taylor, Carole King, the Moody Blues and the Grateful Dead all led onward to the soundtrack of a LOUD Led Zeppelin."

A 1978 B-Movie called "Malibu Beach." The girl in the movie has a huge Led Zeppelin poster(s) on her wall. I won't post the movie here because it's rated R, has nudity, and people might not like that. But I'll post the YT search link. It's the first video in the search and the screen shot alone you can see Led Zeppelin on her wall!

John Bonham is the standard by which I judge all drum solos.

Too bad the both of them together cannot even come close to what john did on his kit all by his self. Here you have 2 kits and they still don't sound as big and powerful as John did alone without double bass let alone four or more.

I don't think they were trying to upstage Bonzo, its just a bit of fun. Sheesh. You may be underestimating them though, might wanna check out some of their other work. ;)

No, Not saying they were trying to upstage anyone, and not underestimating anything. I know what I'm talking about, hell! I could play what they played and I do not consider myself to be any where near pro.
