wrong-note-rod
I heard the Gonzaga night was the first show as Led Zeppelin. I dont think so, I believe they changed their name before that. Gonzaga is one of the first shows in America, and the first to be bootlegged. It may have been the first time they saw the name Led Zeppelin on the marquee or something like that. ledzepfilm
I believe that's Richard Cole on bongos during some 1971 show. I need to refresh my memory.
Geezer
Seriously? Is it Richard Cole playing that?
ledzepfilm
I believe but I'm just going by my memory. EDIT: I can't locate this show. It's stressing me out. Geezer
I think it's Liverpool 1971, but they played 3 shows in Liverpool in 1971.
ListenToThis
I'm not much help but I do know Cole played onstage a handful of times, and I know it was a percussion instrument every time. Not sure which shows though.

ListenToThis
ALS - San Diego 6.19.77 This show is fascinating for Bonham's "haze". Particularly ALS, where he puts in one of the weakest and most off tempo fills I've ever heard him do. He should have done as he did in Hannover '80 and not play anything, leaving only silence. It would have been better.
