kaiser
The list is pretty much an FM radio programmers Led Zeppelin format. It's a greatest list for the very casual fan. Mojo would have done a far more representative list.
Stryder1978
Wow...No "Achilles" and no "Rover"?????
kenticus
yeah pretty weak list. totall leaves off achilles and that kind of stuff. Just a very pedestrian list of zeppelin songs. the rest of the zeppelin issue is decent although it doesn't contain any new articles or info, just a compilation of old stuff. Still, this list is lazy and weak in so many ways. The funniest part to me is how they had misty mountain hop as a top ten song for zeppelin.......... Elderer
Complete piece of shit. Achilles Last Stand deserves to be in Top5.
Stormwatcher
Rolling Stone will never ever understand Led Zeppelin and their music. Crappy magazine, junk list.
Geezer
I can't express with words how uderrated Achilles Last Stand is.
in_the_evening
What struck me about the list is 40 songs is about one half of Zep's entire catalog of songs ( if you don't include Coda, which it appears RS did). I know Zep has under 100 songs in their catalog, so RS Is basically saying " here's the top one half of Zep songs". Yeah, and the list is typical RS rubbish! Rock Action
Rolling Stone is just a rag that routinely slagged Zep even in their heyday. Fuck 'em. Achilles Last Stand should be in the top 5 easily...I agree.

BlackDog71
Rolling Stone will never ever understand Led Zeppelin and their music. Crappy magazine, junk list. I couldn't agree more. Now they just kiss up to them in every issue they feature something about them. It's sad people read that magazine and it's propaganda and take it as fact sometimes. With that said, I usually don't take lists all that seriously. But no Ten Years Gone or Achilles Last Stand? Come on now!

LedZeppfan77
Stairway to Heaven is number one on most all time lists and not just Led Zeppelin. Greatest song ever written by humans.
Duffy12
. Pretty much all of their songs are absolutely awesome. So there really is no point at all in making a top song list for this particular group. Now Rush or AC/DC on the other hand makes much more sense. Great Sombreo
Hmmmm...I didn't realize Led Zep had ANY crappy songs....! Everyone has the right to their opinion and maybe this will open up a new audience to Led Zep. They can start with the "list" and judge for themselves when they start buying their music. So just because Achilles Last Stand and The Rover didn't make the list the rest of the songs are nonsense? I never hear Immigrant Song, Ramble On, Good Times Bad Times, When The Levee Breaks, Communication Breakdown, Dazed And Confused, The Battle of Evermore, Gallows Pole, Houses Of The Holy, Babe I'm Gonna Leave You, Nobodys Fault But Mine, Thank You, The Wanton Song, Tangerine, In My Time Of Dying, Four Sticks, Since I've Been Loving You on the radio. Maybe back in the day when radio was radio you would hear some of these on my list, but nowadays? Jeff
ZEPFAN17
How can there be only 40 songs on this list, how did some of the Led Zeppelins best work get left out..these lists are asinine for the birds.
JP78
having to click through all of that is so annoying , is there any place where the list is in one place without having to click so much ?
