ScarletMacaw
I thought this story from the WSJ was so interesting...illustrates how easily events can be propagandized, as well as the tragedy of so many people who used to live in the Soviet Union: https://www.wsj.com/articles/a-ukrainian-woman-greeted-troops-with-a-soviet-flag-now-she-tells-putin-to-stop-killing-ukrainians-11653816640?st=ygmlu5ceu3jqbg8&reflink=desktopwebshare_permalink

Pretty much, yeah. Recently Kissinger and MSM outlets like the NYT and WaPo have called on the Ukraine to negotiate and make concessions. Which is an indication that at least some members of the oligarchy understand that the Ukraine isn't winning the war and continuing to throw money and arms at them is rapidly diminishing returns. redrum
https://thejewishnews.com/2022/03/30/what-zelensky-gets-wrong-about-the-holocaust-in-ukraine/ As the Germans moved further east into Ukraine, they intensified their massacres. In hundreds of locales with the assistance of local Ukrainian collaborators, they gathered Jewish men, women and children, marched them to the outskirts of town, stripped them naked, and shot them in ravines or trenches. Locals were then permitted to scavenge the clothing of the dead. The organization Yahad in Unum, which has been mapping Holocaust-era mass graves, has identified nearly 1,000 such sites in Ukraine. The largest is Babyn Yar, in the suburbs of Kyiv, where over 33,000 Jews were killed on Sept. 29-30, 1941. Weeks before Babyn Yar, 23,600 Jews were executed in the fortress town of Kamianets-Podilskyy. By January 1942, some 500,000 Jews had been killed in Ukraine. Karma for Ukraine? JohnOsbourne
The coke-fiend Zelensky has written the book on lack of decorum, such as threatening to start WW3 while wearing military-style t-shirts (and nothing quite says "winning" like hitting up powerhouses like Slovakia for old Soviet-era junk), but a new standard was set when they sent some giant dude to Germany to plead their case. How heroic! Yes, the Ukrainian Army is getting beat pretty badly. Certainly the Russian military has taken some real losses and will be dealing with with many issues in the coming years. Truly is very sad to read and watch what is happening.
